12: Racing the clock
~Naru
“WAKE UP!”
I gasped as I was ripped out of my uncomfortable slumber by ice-cold water dumped on my head. I heaved and gasped before I began to shiver and looked up at Nori. A twisted smile stretched his face. Behind him were two grown males dressed in white and purple.
“W… what-t?” I shivered, my jaw chattering and refusing to let me finish.
“Unlock her and bring her to the upper floor. I’ll fetch the doctor.” He said and turned on his heel and slipped out. I whimpered and pushed back as they stepped forward, one grabbing my arm in a bruising grip while the other undid my chain. I screamed and thrashed as he dragged me forward. I dug my nails into his skin, bit at his wrist, but it was all in vain. The other guard grabbed my arm, and together they dragged me up the stairs to a room that was empty aside from a chair in the center, a chair to the side, and a wooden table next to the other chair. The far wall was mirrors, and it had bright lights on the ceiling. I snarled and spat like a feral cat as they dragged me to the chair and slammed me into the seat, and replaced the chains around my wrists, ankles, and upper arms.
“Y… you can’t think this is okay! I’m a kid!” I tried, and only received silence as they stepped to the side and waited at attention. I rocked in the chair that was bolted to the floor. I had hoped to tip or break it, but nothing happened. The door reopened a moment later, and Nori stepped inside, followed by an older man with fading red hair that was pulled into a bun. He carried a small case and set it down on the table, and opened it, revealing various pieces of medical equipment. I thrashed as he lifted a sharp tool I didn’t know the name of and shot a grin over his shoulder. Nori sat down and propped his chin on his fist.
“Entertain me,” I screamed in fear as he approached. I want my Daddy!

“So? How was that for a mission?” Sakumo asked and glanced at his son, who rode on his back. Kakashi grinned and adjusted himself slightly before nodding.
“It was so cool! I’ve never been undercover before!” He chirped. “And when you took out that guy with the White Fang! I can’t wait to tell Naru! She’s always wanted to go undercover!” He yawned after and sighed.
“Get some rest, we’re about 20 miles from the village, and tomorrow you can tell Naru all about it,” Sakumo said. Kakashi nodded and set his head down, and began to shut his eyes.
“Sakumo!” He looked up as Minato landed before him, Rin perched on his back. Sweat poured from his face, and his body trembled.
“Minato? What’s wrong?”
“I need your help! Naru… Naru was captured.” Kakashi perked up and stared at his sensei and teammate.
“How was she captured?” Sakumo asked.
“She was given a treaty mission with Rin and Obito. On the way back, they were ambushed, and Naru was taken.” He swallowed.
“Hiruzen-sama gave the order for us to bring her home. The sannin have a head start on us. Will you help?” He pleaded.
“Of course!” Sakumo bit his thumb, spilling blood, and summoned his wolf pack. “Spread out and find Naru’s scent, howl when located. Scatter!”
He barked. The pack shot off in different directions.
Kakashi slid down from Sakumo’s back and looked at Minato.
“Who could have captured her?”
