Jin Woo stayed still. He felt a little dazed. There was no way she could have known these things, especially the system. he was the only one who-
"Are you also a player?"
He asked, something clicked in his mind. If she was also a player of the system, she might have known of him through a secret connection. One he didn't know of.
"No, no, the system only has one player at a time, I'm ...hmm you could say..."
Alora waved off his thoughts, narrowing her eyes she fought to find the right words.
Useless? Broken? No ..not right...
"A defective pawn.."
He furrowed his brows, eyes narrowing, the more he listened. the more unsettled he became.
This girl was more and more suspicious, Defective product? What does that mean?
Does she knows the systems source? the mastermind? If so what is its actual purpose?
He was about to question further, but Alora beat him to it.
"Oh right we haven't ordered anything!"
She suddenly changed the subject a little, sensing the tension. And pressed the call button on the table.
'Things got a little intimidating...'
She thought to herself.
Jin woo simply nodded, choosing to go in her pace.
The waiter appeared in a no time with polite smile.
"Hmm ....I'm not familiar with Korean cuisine." She admitted. "Can you recommend? I would prefer something with strong flavour."
The waiter brightened immediately and started listing off several dishes Alora never heard of.
'What are you saying waiter hyung? What's that supposed to mean?'
"Hmm... spicy galbitang? Yes that one please."
Alora had a hard time pronouncing it, but she tried her best, she didn't care what it was as long as she could taste it.
"That's spicy."
No matter what she was, right now, all he saw infront of him was a little girl of ten or eleven.
"I want to try."
'He's a gentleman alright.'
Alora nodded to herself.
Jin woo also ordered, and the dishes and side dishes were served in no time.
Thankfully Alora did learn how to use chopsticks, for fun.
They started eating, the galbitang was spicy yes, but not enough to pinatrate through her ruined tounge. She finished chewing with difficulty, shallowed, and said with a cheery smile on her face.
"What do you say? Do you want it?"
'It' was of course, a shadow soldier
'I know you want it.....just say yes, pretty please?~'
Jin Woo said nothing, simply started eating.
He didn't sense any malice nor bloodlust from the girl, so he decided to play along, see what she was talking about, he had little choice left either way.
"What is the 'stronger one' you speak of?"
Alora's eyes that was bright a moment ago, dulled, her smile flatred, her voice cheerful up until now became a small whisper.
