Alora asked pointing at delicious looking plate of food. Her vision was as blurry as before, she again rubbed her eyes.

"Tasteless?"

The female staff was taken a aback, why would the food prepared meticulously by the chef's be tasteless?

Alora nodded her head, and for confirmation took another bite, but the results was same, completely tasteless.

A sudden realisation hit her, she gritted her teeth and clenched the fork in her hand, her blurry vision moistened up with tears.

'My senses are dulling.....'

Seeing her like this The female staff became worried and asked.

"W-what's wrong?"

Alora shoke her head and said pointing at the food.

"Nothing, take it away I don't wanna eat."

The female staff started at Alora for a few seconds, and hesitantly took the plate, cutlery and left.

Alora leaned in the bed, and stared at the ceiling.

She didn't want to die she wanted live a long life, a very very long life.

she never complained about being reborn.

She was already dead in her previous life, she wants to experience and see all the course of the novel happening before her own eyes, seath was not something she wanted to experience again.

'Mom, I don't want to die......'

When she found out she was special in some ways she wanted to go to dungeons and fight monsters, she wished to be strong, strong enough to never witness the call of death.

Although she knew it was nearly impossible, but if the absolute beings wished they chould give her eternal life without bating an eye. But it seems they do not wish to do so.

She closed her eyes a smile tugging at her lips.

"I should probably become a shadow soldier."

She said but she soon laughed at her own words.

Shadow soldiers were the Protagonist's soldiers, they were created from extracted shadows of dead people and monsters.

"That's stupid!"

She let out a breath her smile faded, she stared at the cold white ceiling.

'If I really die....then..... isn't it better to become a shadow soldier?'

That way her life won't end with the hospital bed, no, life is not the right word, it should be called semi-life instead.

Haha

Ha....

Alora sat up, expression blank.

'If I were to really become a shadow soldier then..... won't I live for eternity?'

She looked at her frail arms.

"Who knows I might be able to beat those absolute beinges ass.. isn't that what happens in his son's novel? Was it? Hmm."

She sighed, a smile of quite excitement tugging at her lips.

She lay down on the bed again her arms spread open as she looked at the ceiling, she slowly muttered.

"But how do I become a shadow soldier....."

'Should i just go and ask him to to make me his soldier after I die? or should i wait until i die and deliver my body to his home? He would be weirded out by me! Haha'

She laughed at her own thoughts, closed her eyes and muttered.

"What to do....."

The phone that was on top of the bedside table suddenly floated up and was surrounded by a illusory glow.

It reached the hospital bed on its own and dropped on a skinny hand.

Alora a dialled a familiar phone number and put it on speaker.

..

Thomas Andrew was lazing around on his private apartment, holding a wine cup in hand as he took slow sips.

He wore his usual colourful shirt and grey shorts and sat on the couch opposite the large-screened TV that was playing National news.

His personal phone suddenly buzzed, he picked it up as he clicked his tongue.

Seeing the id he smirked and received the call. He had recently changed this id name to monkey.

"The sun rose from west today!"

He said in a amused voice.

"Yeah yeah the apocalypse is coming, lend me a jet I'll be making a trip to Korea."

Came a grumbling sound from the other side.

"What's with 'S' Rankers storming in Korea?"

Thomas paused before he laughed and asked.

"Who else is in Korea?"

Alora asked making a guess.

"That Bastard Hwang Dong-Su, he went there to mess with low Rankers cause of his brother's death."

Thomas mocked as he looked out the apartment glass, it had the view of the whole city.

"Oh, But he won't be satisfied anytime soon.....!"
Alora said calmly but suddenly became exited as exclaimed.

"What?"

"Nothing, nothing! I'll be in Korea for a while It'll take a while, it's important. See you after the trip, find me some more of that green shit."

Before Thomas chould say anything Alora hurriedly hung up.

Thomas stared at his phone for a few seconds before tossing it aside, he turned his attention to the TV.

"A red gate suddenly appeared in Korea......................."
The lady reporter in formal clothing broadcasted live news.

Thomas's eyes widend slightly "Red gate?" He mumbled as he turned his head to look at his phone.

...

The flight to Korea was a peaceful one but the aftermath of arrival was not.

A S rank traveling to another country was no small matter after all.

Her awakening is confidential information, only the government and some important figures knew, so she chould be 'protected' or they said.

But Alora knew better, they kept her under strict surveillance so she won't be taken by another country.

Public attention wasn't a least bit of concern rather it was Korea's hunter association. They wouldn't like a uninvited guest, especially since the guest was an S ranker.

The hunter association is already quite riled up as the S rank Hwang Dong-su the traitor who left Korea went back to get revenge for his brother the previous day.

Now that Alora also came suddenly, she would surely have to answer questions. No one would care about how young she was. Once someone awakens they are treated as adults.

Alora gazed ahead, Infront of her was the bustling scene of Seoul, she was sitting on top of a tall building, her dress and hair fluttered violently against the wind.

She sat poised unmoving, like a wooden doll, what she saw was not a beautiful city but rather a blurry, distorted one.

This is the probably the last time she will be able sightsee as a human.

She took a deep breath and circulated her mana, controlling her body to stand up, nearly flying away due to wind.
