Chapter 1 - Friendless
Third Person
The first few years after traveling to the past went by fast.
To Kara it seemed as if life was set in fast forward; She watched Sophia grow up at an incredible speed.
Once they all arrived in the past, they had no trouble whatsoever finding a nice. little cottage in the mountains. Perfect for a family.
When Sophia was six, Kara gave birth to her own child- well children- Rachel and Austin Summers.
And to keep Sophia safe, the Summers had given her their last name far before she was even able to remember the name Malfoy.
Even though time felt like it was passing by incredibly fast, the arrival of Sophia's Hogwarts acceptance letter could not come fast enough.
Eventually, on July 25th of 1971, a cream colored letter arrived through owl post.
The first page of the letter read;
HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore.
(Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwamp, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Ms. Summers,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find in closed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.
Yours Sincerely,
Minderva McGonagall.
Deputy Headmistress.
There was also, like the first letter had said, another letter. This one listing Sophia's needed equipment for her time at Hogwarts.
"I'm going to Hogwarts! I'm going to Hogwarts!" Sophia repeated multiple times. Attending Hogwarts had been a dream of hers since she first found out what the school even was.
"When can we go to Diagon Ally?! I want a car! No! An owl! Just not a toad. Toads are nasty. When can we go?! Can we go today?!" Sophia was a very hyper girl. Just one of the many things in which her mother, Megan had given to her.
"No, Soph, not today," he adopted father, Tyler, told her.
Yes, the Summers did tell Sophia that she was adopted.
Sophia frowned.
But her eyes quickly lit back up as she quickly asked, "How 'bout tomorrow." Tyler just shook his head.
"Not today, not tomorrow. We will, closer to the start of the school year. Don't worry, your mother and I will be sure to let you know when."
Sophia heavily sighed in defeat.

"You now what I just figured out?" Sophia spoke one day during dinner.
"What would that be?" Kara asked. Only slightly curious on what he adopted daughter had to say.
"I won't know anyone at Hogwarts. My only friends are you, dad, and Rachel and Austin who are just little kids."
"Oh, I doubt that you won't have friends for long. There are lots of people at Hogwarts who will become your friends. And, you know what? You'll probably even make friends at Diagon Ally," Tyler explained.
"Eh, yeah, I guess."
A/n Hi! So here is chapter 1! I've had it written out for a while just I haven't had enough time to type it out. It's been too nice outside. It's currently 73F outside which is one of the warmest days of the year which makes me happy :)
I love the amount of comments in the first chapter! Keep it up!
