I was mixing the ingredients to make brownies when the door bell went off.
I went to answer the door to see my best friend since diapers standing in front of me.

"Hey Y/N whatchu doin?", Nate asked.
"I was making brownies until you. Came", I chuckled pointing a finger at him.
"Hey its not nice to point", he smirked.
"Okay mom", I giggled.

"Okay side note, I really wanted to talk to you about a girl I really like", he smiled sitting on the counter beside you dipping his finger in the batter. Which I swatted it away with my hand.

"Go on", I said mixing the rest of the ingredients together.
"Well, she's amazing, I've known her a very long time. She makes me smile and laugh everyday, and.", I just started at Nate as he spoke.

My heart dropped when he called the girl amazing and said everything else about her including how beautiful she is. I always had a crush on Nate. For goodness sake he's been my best friend since I don't know how long but that's how the story goes. The girl falls for her guy friend, he finds some chick and you two never talk again.

"There's only one problem though", he blushed.
"And what might that be Mr. Maloley", I fake smiled setting my hands on the counter beside him.

"How do I tell her I love her?", his pleading eyes looked into mine.
"Just tell her 'I love you', c'mon Nate you should know this", I laughed.

"Okay I'll try it", he smiled his eyes lit up with confidence.
"I love you", he looked straight at me.
"Great Nate now go tell the girl", I smiled.

"I already did", he smiled.
"I love you Y/N, I have ever since grade 2.", he smiled.
My eyes went wide until I finally comprehended what he said,"I love you too Nate".

"Good, cause I've been wanting to do this for a long time", he smiled pulling my face to his leaving a soft passionate kiss on my lips.
