I ran after them as fast as I could, dodging trees, bushes, fallen branches, animals—anything in the forest that would slow me down.

"Soobin! Stop!" I yelled out, but he didn't turn back.

Neither did Jake. Not even once.

As we all ran, I noticed two others running with Jake and Soobin.

Who are they?

Fuck—

Are Yeonjun and Beomgyu back too?

No.

They can't be.

We made sure they couldn't.

But Soobin...

I thought I got him for good too... yet here he is— Running side by side with the love of my life whom he stole away from me in the night.

Why isn't Jake coming back to me?

I don't know how long we've been running for.

We could be who knows where by now.

Running as fast as I can, I could be in West Virginia for all I know.

Before I knew it, we were running over a familiar body of water, the splashes beneath my feet soaking the bottom of my pants.

This is the St. Lawrence River.

We made it to Canada.

I didn't even notice we crossed the border, let alone notice anything else in my surroundings.

I look behind me, seeing Sunoo, Sunghoon, and Niki still following short behind me, their expressions taken over by worry and confusion.

I let all my worries wash away, trying to catch up to Soobin the best I could.

I don't know where he's leading us, but it can't be good.

After a few minutes, we crossed over another bit of water, the green trees and wet grass around us looking all too familiar— and not in a good way.

I let my eyes wander for only a second, looking back up only to see they were gone.

I let myself crash into the wooded area, the panic rising in my body.

I came to a sudden halt, the dirt beneath my feet lifting as I dug into the ground to stop myself.

I heard a similar crunching sound behind me, and the others stopped a few feet away.

"No...not here..." Niki mumbled.

I turn to them for a moment, seeing the scared look on Niki's face.

My eyes flickered to Sunoo, who was keeping his composure on the outside, but I could hear what he was thinking.

They were all thinking the same thing.
