"Heeseung."

I shot up. My body started to tingle as my ears began to ring.

The others looked at me confused, startled by my sudden movement.

"What's wrong?" Sunoo asked concerned, standing up with me.

I blink. "I— I heard him."

Sunoo furrows his eyebrows, looking over to the other two boys.

"I heard him." I repeated. "I head Jake."

"Really?! What did you hear? Do you have an idea where he is?" Niki spews out, rushing up next to me and Sunoo.

"All I heard was my name. I know it's him...It was his voice." I say, looking out at the horizon.

"Heeseung, listen to me." Sunoo says, now standing infront of me and gently taking my hands.

I look him in the eyes, sudden nervousness washing over me.

"You need to listen for him— listen for his voice." He continues. "Do exactly as I say, got it?"

I quickly nod, taking a shaky deep breath.

Sunoo sighs. "Where the blood was.. sit in the sand where Jake was last." He says, pointing to the sand next to us.

I gulp, lowering myself down onto the sand next to the red stains that tainted the pearly grain.

"Close your eyes, and disguard every thought— and I mean every thought from your mind. It may be hard, but you need to think of nothing."

I sigh deeply, trying to follow Sunoo's orders. I let my body slowly fall back into the sans, helping me relax my body and clear my mind.

It's hard to clear my mind and think of nothing when Jake is out there somewhere.

I take deep breaths, letting everything that worried me fall into the abyss in the back of my mind.

"Now—" Sunoo says quietly. "Think of Jake. Think of what you heard, and try and think of what he was saying before he called for you."

"How can he think of what Jake said before he called for Hee—" Niki asked, but was quickly silenced by Sunoo.

I scrunched my nose, the silence around me overwhelming my ears, that would occasionally be interrupted by the sound of the waves in the distance.

I listened. Really listened.

I waited for his voice to fill my head again.

But nothing.
