Chapter 10

Ember's POV

I slept like a baby until 10'or 11 o'clock. My mind began to work it's gears until I realise everyone would be downstairs, watching the news. I quickly woke Kory and Thomas up and shoved on a baggy tee. By this time Noodle had woken up as well with the constant noise. She purred and rubbed herself in and out of Thomas' legs. He picked her up and we trailed downstairs. I'm sure that it would be one of those 'Breaking News' reports, that's what I'm sure of anyways.

I could hear everyone get up and rush downstairs. I was quite surprised that they hadn't gotten up yet. I opened the door and ran behind them into the living room. Everyone jumped onto either the couches or the bean bags and Slendy switched on the TV to the news channel. We sat with our eyes glued to the screen in hopes of this coming on any time soon. Everyone gasped as it was displayed. 'Breaking News'

"As we all know, the widely feared murderer, Jeffery Woods had been caught after many years of being on the run. He was caught in the early hours of Friday when a 999 call was made by Caitlyn Morrison after hearing footsteps on the bottom floor of her home. Police quickly rushed to the scene to find her near death in the bedroom and her Husband and newborn daughter dead in the kitchen. It has been decided that he will be given death penalty by electric chair. More about this story at 6"

Slendy turned off the TV and held his head in his hands as he hunched over. They stared at him before Liu started crying softly. Sally shuffled over to him and began to comfort him by cuddling and rubbing his back. It became dead silent. I could hear my heartbeat become faster. My god if this silence keeps up I'm going to have a panic attack, I had to act fast.

"When they ask Jeff for his final words," I said slowly so they could hear, "What do you think they'll be?" I finished. By this time everyone was staring at me, Slendy lifted his head. You could tell by his face that he hadn't been crying, but he had a rather an annoyed look spread across his face but then changed to a thoughtful look. At least my problem was solved.

"we'll just have to wait until 6 to find out," He announced calmly and walked out of the room, leaving us to our own devices. It became silent once again.

"Want to go and save him?" Ben asked with a smirk. I didn't know what to say. Luckily Hoodie answered that for me.

"No, it's for our on saf-" He was cut off by Toby being sarcastic.

"Well if you want them to find the rest of us and get the death penalty like Jeff, I suggest you wouldn't go,"

Liu glared at him and Clock practically punched his jaw. We began to file out of the room as Clock, Toby and Liu were arguing which will no doubt turn into a fight. I was last as I wanted to see what would happen but the argument soon ended. Honestly I was disappointed, I wanted to see one of those fights like those World Star people.

As I had stepped out into the hall Sally came over to me and poked my side. I look down and kneel to her height.

"What is it sweetie?" She looked down at the ground before looking up.

"Will we die like Jeff?" She asked me in that sweet little voice of hers. I chuckled and ruffled her hair a bit.

"Of course not," I reassured her. She smiled and jumped up and down.

"That's good because I don't want to die!" She happily said. I was slightly creeped out because what she said wasn't like her at all. Shrugging it off I went back upstairs to change into something more suitable. I'm thinking of going taking a walk around the forest with Kory. He hasn't been out for a while.

No One's POV

After Ember, Thomas and Kory had returned from the forest they settled back into their home after hours of roaming. So far they had caught Deer, Fox and a bin bag Tom of rabbits and squirrels, as instructed by Slender. Not one of them knew why because they had a full fridge but they can't refuse an order from the Boss.

Ember had checked her watch to see that it was 6:15. She told the others and they began to run home through the underbrush.

As they burst in through the doors to see the news they were greeted by everyone running around like a lunatic with empty suitcases in hand and people running upstairs, then silence. Slender had called on Kory for something. Liu was the only one downstairs, along with Smile.

"W-what's goi-i-ing on-n?" Thomas asked as his breathing began to quicken. Ember wrapped an arm around him for comfort as the two older began to talk. Ember's face became pale and she too began to run upstairs with an empty suitcase in hand, along with Thomas.

All Thomas heard before heading upstairs was the final words of the news report.

"The search will begin at Dawn,"
