After Kagome chose to break up with Inuyasha, she knew as long as the jewel is in this world it would continue to curse people and cause more damage than good.
So, she chose to get rid of it, and also this meant she'd also have to leave once it did, once the jewel was gone, Kagome would have no way back to this village or this time again her chances of returning were zero chances of ever returning.
She'd miss everyone here, but she'd have to go away.
So, she gave off final demands that Inuyasha was to look after Shippo, and try to be a good role-model for him to look up too and please try not to bully him so much and be nicer to each other she asked both of them to try and get along, even if she wasn't here to look out for them both anymore, she wanted them to look out for each other like father and sons should.
She hoped that Sango and Miroku would be blessed with many children and would live a lifetime of happiness. She soon left, so where her story ended in this world.
In truth with Kagome's departure from this world and her journey ended. it was only the beginning for Inuyasha and Shippo's new journey to start, when one day he sadly feels lonely, and he feels like time's changed far too much for everyone. Shippo had begun to travel and go to this fox temple a lot to learn more about his magic, to grow into something stronger than he is now, he's become smarter and a lot braver, he's learned to take his fox exams seriously.
Everyone else got to live happily in there lives. Everyone finally after the defeat of Naraku, the world felt left chaotic. After 3 years of watching his friends live a happy life together. Sango and Miroku had a family together 3 kids, two twin girls and a son.

Inuyasha was glad to see his friends get to live a happy and normal life. For a few years Inuyasha would go to the well every 3 days to see if Kagome would return, he kept testing and hoping that she might surprise them all and return after all, he never wanted to give up on her or them as a possibility of happening one day. But sadly, she never did come back.
Kohaku, Sango's younger brother had reopened the demon slayer village, he chose to take it upon himself to become stronger and to learn from his mistakes for what he did while under Naraku's control, but he also felt like making it right, and this was the only way he knew how to help people and turn things around, and be the brave and strong slayer his dad always knew he could be.
So, he took over for Sango, when she retired to settle down when she married Miroku. She did become a tech person though, she turned the kills into armor and suites, masks, she helped to build weapons, she started her own shop of weapon making.
Miroku of course took his family serious and also took a heavy training schedule to level up in his powers, since he no longer had to rely on the Wind tunnel, he had to learn how to rely on his powers too.
So, like it or not, this is where everyone landed.
Inuyasha after battling with Naraku and so many others, he's defeated countless rivals and many enemies over the years. He earned a name for himself, others have finally begun to show respect when they heard his name or they showed fear whenever they heard it, but there are still some who refused to respect a Half-Demon.
But where Inuyasha drew the line was when Kagome left.
When Kagome choses to make a tough decision that affects everyone not just herself, but Inuyasha most of all, he depended on her for so much, and she helped him to be calm, he didn't know if love would ever be possible again for him. She did return his feelings to a point until she admitted that she'd always love him, and he'd always be her first love, but that's where there story ends...! she chose to go home for good for everyone's safety and for hundreds of lives, she chose to sacrifice her happiness to make sure that the jewel is never able to harm another soul as long as it lives, and as long as she lives as well, she wanted to be able to put an end to all of this mess, once the Jewel was said to no longer exist in this world, she'd never be able to return here either, but the hard decision was trying to explain her feelings had changed, knowing that Inuyasha and herself would never be anything else other than each other's best friend and for her, her first love.
So, she leaves leaving Inuyasha alone.
Sango, Miroku, Shippo all agree that the Jewel has to be stopped and as long as it existed in this world evil would follow it no matter what, and lives would be put into danger once again because of its evil curse.
So, Kagome leaves, everyone has accepted this choice that she'd made in order to protect this world from the jewel's evil.
Inuyasha is forced to accept this and let her go. But in the end, he ends up finding out his journey isn't over yet, and it's only just the beginning for him. So, when the boys were wondering around the woods, Inuyasha was looking through some wild veggies to plant in his new garden at the house he was building for himself to live in and plus for Shippo if he wanted his own room of course since all they had now was each other than their friends but one day they wouldn't be here, after all humans age differently than humans do.

Shippo was helping him to look around, since he's better at finding clean healthy food to eat out of the ground, that wasn't poisonous as he pointed out to him. So, the two were looking around when he heard something, and then they both sense something super powerful in the air, they both sensed it. So, they both ran towards the secret tree.
It was glowing brightly.
Inuyasha and Shippo both asked what the hell is going on? As they both said it at the same time. But then the next thing it got brighter, and brighter until they could no longer see, and then the next thing they knew they both blacked out. Where they both went back in time 1000 years.
Inuyasha and Shippo laid upon the bottom of the secret tree's base 1000 years ago. They both without knowing had time traveled back in time. So, let's begin where our story begins with the two lost in another time. Enjoy.
