"Hailey is being mean and now you are too? My life is hard." I sigh dramatically. "Pipe down drama queen. You guys have been friends for like um what 1.5-2 years? She's used to you being weird and asking random questions or uh winking in texts-?" Milly says, sounding confused of herself at the last sentence.

"Maybe you could um.. try flirting? But like obviously directed at her" Milly suggests.

Tip one: Try to flirt.

"Haileyyyyyy!" I say pestering her as she takes out her note books from her bag.

"Hey Jake! I was about to go and find you! You know how we are watching a movie this weekend? What movie did you wanna watch?" Hailey asked smiling as she looked up. She looked so pretty.

"Doesn't mater what movie, I'll be watching you the whole time!" I winked at her.

"Haha. Very funny Sterling. Save your sweet words for someone else who cares." She chuckled.

"Are you my words? Because you're sweet!" I grin, silently cringing at my own words.

She stares at me blankly for a couple of seconds before opening her mouth to speak. "Please never tell a pickup line again.." she sighed.

"Okay um oh! I saw a zombie apocalypse movie come out recently! Maybe that one?" Hailey asks as we begin walking down the hall to chemistry.

"Hmm are you a zombie? Because I think you just stole my heart." I smile.

Hailey sighs once again. "Did I accidentally steal your brain as well? Because I think your skull is pretty fricken empty." Hailey grins, Knocking on my head aggressively.

"Hey! What that's not fair." I laugh trying to wack her head as well but she dodges and instead drops all her books.

"Great. This is your fault." She frowns.

"Just letting you know, I would let you have my brain so you'd be the only thing in my head." I grinned picking some of her books up.

"Oh my god- firstly that doesn't even make sense and secondly shut up-" she laughs as I hand her the books.

"Uh.. make me..?" I ask. "Oh my lord- is this how you flirt with everyone? How the hell do they fall for this??" She asks, rubbing her forehead.

"Well I've only flirted and fallen in love with you." I smile.

"What the fuck." Hailey groans, seeming done with me.

"We can if you want to-" I'm cut short as Hailey smacks me hard with her text books.

"OW- HAILEYYY!" I cry.

"No that's deserved. For the record—you've fallen in love with Daisy so uh you lied" she smiles as she walks into the classroom.

I hadn't even realised we had got to the science building where our chemistry class was so I was slightly surprised upon realising this. I honestly felt bad about the Daisy thing. She was a large play in the fight me and Hailey had a year or more ago, Daisy wasn't explicitly the reason however it was because at that time I liked her. I wonder if this is why Hailey doesn't want me romantically or anything—maybe she sees me as someone who will like someone for the sake out it.
