It had been exactly a week since me and Haileys argument and neither of us had talked to the other. Rehearsals for the club were put aside as Hailey was 'too busy with homework' more like she just didn't wanna see me, let alone sing with me.

I was starting to get worried about the future of our friendship. Okay that's a lie I was extremely scared of what would happen. I couldn't lose her like this. It just wouldn't be good.

Hailey being my lab partner, was also coincidentally sick on the day I had science with her and all the other classes I had with her, she made it her absolute mission to avoid me.

Zander had also not been talking to me as much, he was one of my best fiends however it didn't hurt nearly as much as Hailey. I still cared about him avoiding me though.

I was chatting to Milly at my locker when behold the famous James approached me. "Hey man! Having a party tomorrow night on Friday at mine! You up for it?" He was grinning widly. I turned to Milly, wanting to she what she thought of this and she was grinning and nodding aggressively at me. "Hey and you could go to! Milly right?" James smiles turning to Milly. "Yep! And thanks! Im sure Jake wants to go and I definitely wanna!" Milly says glaring at me.

"Well..it's sorted then! I'll see you tomorrow and I'll send you the details!" James walked away still smiling. He was walking to Hailey who was waiting for him. A pang of jealously hit me before Milly abruptly interrupted my thinking. "I'm so excited omg" she exclaimed.

"Milly- why on earth do you want to go to his party? You have like never talked to him??" I ask shocked that she even considered it. "Ummm have you seen his house? He lives in a freaking mansion!! I wanna go! Plus it will get your mind of haileyyy" she drags the last word out and my eyes flick towards Hailey and James laughing by her locker.

"Shut up Millicent. I'm not thinking about Hailey." I grumble, taking my books out my locker before shutting it. "Yeah yeah say what you wanna!" She giggles.

The next two school days are a blur and before I knew it, I was in my room deciding what to wear to the party in 1 hour. I wanted to look somewhat normal or cool. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact Hailey going to the party as well to why I was panicking about what to wear.

My eyes scanned the clothing I had hanging up when it stopped on the jumper Hailey bought me. If I was going to at least try and talk to Hailey again, I might as well wear this.

James being a pretty popular kid in school had also invited Sean and according to Sean he could use a break from studying which is why he is going. Also quite helpful as he was able to take me with him as my mum was working and couldn't drive me.

I Throw my jumper on, some random jeans and style my hair before waiting for Sean to get to my house.

When I got into Sean's car it was awkward small talk before it went quiet and all you could hear was the low hum of the car's engine.

"Hey Jake? I sorta needed to talk to you about something um..important?" Sean says breaking the silence. "Oh yeah go ahead!" I say watching his eyes as they stayed looking straight ahead on the road.
