My phone ringed louder enough to break the hollowness and emptiness of my midnight sleep. I haven't slept for sure, as always_eyes closed, yet mind gimlet-eyed.
I grabbed the phone after tilting myself towards the side table where it lied. The number blurred even after my eyes not being sleepy. I just clicked the call button without assuring who it was. The one from other side seemed familiar.
"Your shift has been changed. Come now, Maryona has to leave!"
She crassly spoke to me, dismissing the fact that it was midnight.
"What! But wh...why! I have told that I have college tomorrow."
My eyes got wide opened, with my heart beat skipped for a while.
"No lame excuses! You are coming now!"
And then, with this pointless demand, the call ended.
Not having a word more to say, or a second more to think I rushed to my closet being grumpy.
"I have just tried to sleep!"
I muttered to myself while pulling out a black hoodie and sweatpants. Just like a hastened squirrel for hiding her nuts in grass, I changed the clothes and rushed to the coffee shop, that was at a distance of Asia to Antarctica for me. Though, I always managed to walk this much, because of my situation for couldn't being able to make both ends meet.
"Maryona, you can go now! Finally Lila has arrived!"
A woman, standing near counter with coral pink shirt and beige pants spoke to me, as if pinching my every wound. She was the owner of 'Sunshine At Night!" coffee shop _Belle. Though, it wasn't warm as sunshine_not even by a single perspective. Maryona passed just from near my gaze, and I saw her passing a usual stare to me, as if I am nothing in her so-called rich life.
Having more thoughts to be exploded from my mind, I get to work for them to continue as I work.
"Arther must have another letter to threaten me!
Ms.Jeniffer must have a complaint for my any of activity in college that I have never even done_or maybe for my fee for not paid yet.
My fellows must have another short name to tag me."
And this was how I was continuing to let my mind feel the weight of world, that I was just exploring at this much young age. Not with others, but alone!
And then my mind just clicked to check out the time. So, when my glimpse settled to the the clock nearby, for just a mili second, my breathe tightened. <<Again 07:00 am. I have to be college at this time. I have to stand under sun for one hour and again miss my computer lecture. Ughh!>>
I was just in betwixt of my blaming and intermingled thoughts that Eleonar arrived.
"Hey Lila! Aren't you being late from college! Be quick!"
She passed a titter to me. I didn't cared for that usual and senseless problems with me, and rushed to the exit door with a normal thanks in return for at least arriving at time for the first day.
The college was feeling more heated up than the previous days_maybe because two of the drama queens were being scolded for their slapdash acts. I tried to hide from Ms.Jeniffer's eyes, who was busy hollering over them, but of course those eyes catched my almost failed hiding try.
"Lila!"
I heard my name to be called with a booming voice. <<Don't say that she will again ask for the fee!>> But she did!
"Your fee! It hasn't been paid! Do you want to be expelled from college!... $500! I haven't received a single cent!"
She growled.
"Tomorrow I will be with fee!"
I hesitated.
*But how I would manage giving fee to her!*
