The clearing that once reeked of blood and burnt ozone fell silent until the sound of scraping stone echoed. The Goblin King, charred and broken from Bjorn’s Stormbringer, staggered upright. His twisted grin split wide across his bruised face, his eyes glowing a feral crimson. Somehow, impossibly, his body pulsed with a darker power, veins bulging with unnatural speed and strength.
“Impossible…” Liora whispered, barely standing, her staff trembling in her hands. Before she could react, the King blurred forward, faster than before faster than her eyes could follow. His clawed hand shot out, aiming for Bjorn’s throat.
But Bjorn was there. He shoved Liora aside, taking the brunt of the impact. She tumbled into a tree, the world fading to black around her as consciousness slipped away.
The battlefield was now Bjorn’s alone.
The Goblin King let out a guttural roar and lunged. Bjorn met him head-on. Their blows collided with earth-shattering force, sending shockwaves through the forest. Each strike cracked the ground, roots snapping like brittle bones. Trees splintered and toppled from the sheer pressure of their battle.
Bjorn’s fists were wrapped in arcs of lightning, his rage surging through his veins. The King’s claws tore through the air, faster, sharper, empowered by whatever curse kept him standing.
The clash became primal thunder against steel, will against savagery. Bjorn gritted his teeth, blood running down his brow, every punch more desperate than the last. The King matched him strike for strike, their battle painting the ground in destruction.
With each exchange, the goblin’s smirk grew wider, as if savoring every ounce of Bjorn’s strength.
Bjorn spat blood, eyes blazing. “If it’s a fight you want…” His aura erupted in a violent surge of lightning that lit the night like day. “…then I’ll give you one you’ll never forget!”
The forest itself seemed to hold its breath as the two titans prepared to unleash their next devastating blows.
