History Lessons with Remy!

There was a time where magic was never a thing. Where humans walked freely but wished they never had to use their hands to carry things around like heavy groceries, or be able to move around quickly, you get the point. This was all until one day a man named Henry Abstort climbed up a mountain rumored to carry a gem called the Twilight Orbe that could unleash great power across the lands,and make anyone a mighty god. Though he underestimated how hard this would be. Despite being prepared he found himself often starving for days on end,yet he would refuse to give up or die like plenty of other people did before. By this point it's been three years since he started his climb,most considered him dead or perhaps missing. But nobody could possibly imagine that he would succeed. yet to everyone's surprise he returned,looking ten times older,but yet with a smile on his face,one of victory. He held up his hand showing the orb. But before everyone could celebrate his shaky, wore out hands suddenly slipped the orb out from his palm,it fell to the ground and shattered. The ground started shaking, unleashing a black light with a dark aura out. People started running around and screaming in terror, thinking this man must've cursed their land,which isn't very far from the truth; though we'll discuss that later. Though despite the chaos Henry yelled out in shock, making everyone turned. His hand was forming a bright light from it,casting into the sky. One by one, everyone else started getting strange abilities. Unfortunately, Henry's body couldn't handle the sudden power,like most others and he died. Now his story is passed to never let his sacrifice be forgotten. Well,that's basically the history of how magic started. But anyways back to the present,let's talk about my life instead. My name is Remy and I was born without any powers. Which i wouldn't mind much if it wasn't for the fact powerless people are looked down upon, seemed as weak and useless. Let's look past that though and talk more about my life.I live with my parents and my two siblings Abree and Elijah. That's unimportant though,let's talk about spirit animals! You can really develop one at any age,when you find your passion in life,which some people find early on, though some never do. I'm not sure how this spirit animal thing really started, apparently it came later on with the magic from the orb. Regularly, people develop their powers in the earlier stages of life,which of course I was unlucky enough not to get. My mom says not to worry and some people develop late while Dad says I'll have to earn it like with a spirit animal.  Most other people seem to think I'm just cursed, which is probably right though I'd prefer to stay naive  and stick to what my parents say.
