Ice Cube just laid on the grassy plain like she always did. She tried making up excuses in her head to not get up and stop staring at the grass. For example: 'The sky is too bright, I don't want to look up..' or, 'I think the grass is a different shade of green today, let me make sure.' As said earlier, these are excuses, and the sky wasn't even bright, it was 9:15 P.M.
Soon, she'd forced herself to get up and finally realized how dark it really was. Though, after walking for a while, she'd found... a lamp.. of herself..? She didn't question it. A lamp is a lamp. Somehow managing to shrug with her legs, she picked up the lamp and turned it on. She began to notice how similar the lamps features were to that of herself, and admired it.
After a moment of staring at it, she noticed a remote. Ice Cube picked up the remote and pressed a button, switching the color to a bluish green. She liked this color, and it'd finally got her to realize how beautiful some blends can be. Then, she picked up the remote, and began elegantly rubbing her foot down the buttons, switching it to a frenzy of different colors. She enjoyed this, despite her usual hatred towards flashing lights.
Soon, she ceased her spamming session and instead kept it at the blue green she first turned it to. After staring for another moment, she rubbed the top of the lamp with her foot and then proceeded to cutely, yet aggressively hug it, pressing it against her face. Ice Cube smiled. Despite literally just getting this lamp, she loved it already. Everything about it was perfect- well- not the dim red light, but it was perfect enough for her.
Suddenly, Ruby ran up to Ice Cube and snatched the lamp out of her feet.
Ruby eyed the lamp with her bright red eyes. "What'cha got here, Icy..? OMM (oh my mine) this lamp is totes adorbs!"
Ice Cube sighed. She liked Ruby, but right now she really didn't want to deal with her shenanigans (she never wanted to). She stood up.
"Ruby..." she began "Please give that back, I need it..."
Ruby looked at Ice Cube before getting the most mischievous grin ever on her face. She began to dash into the dark night with the Ice Cube lamp, not to be seen.
Ice Cube stared into the shadows, no trace of luminescence to be found. She stood there for a few seconds before sorrowfully sitting back down.
In the dark night.
Lampless.
