That was actually quite refreshing.

I had a big smile on my face.

Now, on to my next plan. But, before that, I needed to get new shoes.

I made my way to the cityscape of Tokyo, and visited the nearby store. A short heel this time, thank you. Another 15000 yen. Let's hope these last longer than those last ones.

Now, on to my actual plan.

My intuition told me that this power was already quite strong by this point. But, I couldn't accept something that hadn't been rigorously proven. My scientist side wouldn't allow it.

To prove this, I needed a grounding point. A reference point which I could use to measure the potency of this ability, kurota. And I knew what I had to do.

The plan was simple. I needed to lure someone, lull them into a false sense of security, and see for myself what this power could do to an average human. I needed someone who people wouldn't miss. Someone who's willing to follow me to a more private place without asking questions. And as I walked through the streets, in the scapes of Tokyo's nightlife, I found the perfect candidate. Across the street. In front of a convenience store. A group of guys, four of them, barely over their twenties. One of them was chugging beer like there's no tomorrow.

I observed them in their natural habitat as they... what did they call it again? Catcalling? Yeah, I think that's it. Catcalled the prettiest or flashiest girls that just so happened to cross their paths. They were even chasing some of them, which caused the girls to run from them, obviously. How pathetic. Which made them the perfect test subjects.

As the lights turned red, I crossed the street, and walked towards them nonchalantly. I immediately caught their attentions.

One of them did a wolf whistle, and immediately barred my way. "Hey there hot stuff, what're you doing walking alone at night? How bout you come have fun with us, hmm?" He said with enough confidence to make me puke. The other three surrounded me.

I looked down at the ground, acting as helpless as I could. "U-umm..." I said meekly.

He grabbed my arm.

Ew.

"Yeah, c'mon girl, we're not bad guys, we could show you a real good time." The one on my left said with his mouth next to my ear.

I forced my hand out of his grip. "D-Don't touch me!" I said acting panicked. I tried to cut through them, but they got in my way again. I tried the other direction, and again they barred my way. They slowly coerced me into the nearby alleyway. I let them. The stench of garbage hit my nose, though it wasn't nearly as bad as that demon.

I was cornered. My back was against the wall. One of them grabbed both of my arms, and pinned them against it. Another started licking their lips as they moved towards my legs. "Oh man, she's real pretty. This is a great catch. Hurry up so I can get a turn!" Another said.

This sucks. But, anything for science and knowledge.

I decided it was enough. They had their fun, now it's time for mine. I let out a smile. The one pinning me seemed confused. I moved my right leg, kicking the one that was touching my thighs. Using kurota to enhance it to the point of just before killing him. I can't let a good subject go to waste. He fell to the ground. One of them got pissed off and tried to hit my face. I pulled my hands free with such force, it broke the wrists of the guy that was holding me. Before he could realize what happened, I moved both of my hands, grabbed both of their necks, and lifted them in to the air. They struggled to break free. My hands were already strong from training, but enhanced with kurota, they became nearly indestructible. They weren't able to even budge my arms, before passing out. The last guy tried to run. I created a tendril, and grabbed him by the neck as well. He passed out shortly after.

I let out a chuckle.

This power was quite strong already. And the ability to get stronger through killing and absorbing demons was the icing on top. I'd finished my two goals for the night: The giant demon subjugation, and testing the potency of kurota. Everything went perfectly. And now, I had four human test subjects to further my research. Absolutely beautiful.

Then it dawned on me. How the hell do I bring these guys home?

Hmm.

I couldn't just walk, everyone would see me.

I looked up the alleyway walls, and tilted my head. That should do.

I created another tendril to grab hold of the one who's passed out on the floor. Then, I focused kurota on my legs, and jumped. I easily reached the top of the buildings on the alley. People wouldn't suddenly look up here, and if I stayed far from the edges, I could reduce the chance even more.

I focused more kurota on my legs. And I sprinted towards my house at an absurd speed for a human, jumping across rooftops. I broke the sound barrier. The glass windows of the buildings around me shattered from the pressure wave. People panicked for a bit, but they couldn't see me, which was the whole point. It should be fine, I'm sure they'd forget about it tomorrow. That's just how people are.

I reached my home in under ten minutes. The subjects hadn't woken up which was quite impressive. I walked in, dropped my luggage which consists of four people on the floor, locked the door, and went to get changed.

I hadn't had anything to eat, so I went to my kitchen and opened the fridge. But, while my back was turned, one of the subjects woke up. He silently snuck up behind me, and grabbed the knife on the kitchen table-which I'd completely forgotten about-and then he lunged at my back.

It hurt, obviously, why would a knife to the back not hurt? "AH, fu-" I blurted out in pain. Blood spilled from my mouth on to the floor. He then, put me on chokehold, pushed and pinned me on the floor, grunting like he was running a marathon. My face hit the floor, before being pulled up. My back arched up as he tugged with his arm around my neck like his life depended on it, which to be fair it was.

The other three was woken up from the noise, saw the scenario, and as their memories returned, instead of running they decided to gang up on me. Punching. Kicking. Stomping.

"THERE. THERE. YOU LIKE THAT BITCH?" One of them shouted.

"GO... *kick*... TO... *kick*... HELL... *kick*..." Yelled another.

After about, I'd say five minutes, the one who was chocking me let go. My face, covered from the blood that spilled on the floor, slammed down to the wooden floor with a loud thud, despite it not being hollow. They were heaving, their breaths were visible, and sweat dripped from their faces. He stood up from on top of me.

Pant. Pant. Pant.

...

"How regrettable."

They audibly gasped, their eyes widened, and their faces paled with fear.

I got up on my feet. The knife on my back fell out as my wound healed. Before they could react, I quickly knocked them all out. Their bodies fell to the floor with a series of loud thuds, unconscious. I cleaned the dirt and dust from my shirt, and cleared the blood on my face on the sink. My gaze fell upon my four subjects, then on the puddle of blood in front of the open fridge. I sighed, and cleaned up, before bringing them to my basement, locking then up. Who would've thought that keeping four men hostage would be such a hassle.

Regardless, it's time for the experiments to begin again. My mouth curled to a satisfied smile. After all, it's not everyday you get to experiment on humans, let alone alive ones. I'd make sure to take good care of them. The amount of data they'd provide would be tremendous. Ahh, I couldn't wait.
