After saying goodbye to each other, I brought Shadow Milk back to my place. " Alright I have a guest room you can stay in." I said as I took off my shoes. " Y/N your place is amazing. It's so warm and cozy." He said. " Is this really the cookie that will become the Cookie of deceit?" I thought to myself. I then heard his stomach rumble. " Ah right you haven't eaten. What do you want for dinner?" I asked. " Whatever you want to cook. I'll eat and enjoy whatever you decide to cook Y/N." He said. I rolled my eyes. " Fine. Whatever." I said. I walked off into the kitchen and started cookie some jellies. Shadow milk came over to me and just stood behind me. " can i help in any way? I know a lot about cooking!" He said. " Um....I guess? Could you make some bread?" I asked. " Of course I can!" He said. He went over to the cabinets and grabbed the ingredients. He then started making the bread. he was smiling the entire time and humming to himself. He looked....kinda cute. I smiled a bit but quickly hid it. 

After a few minutes, we both finished cooking and sat down to eat. " Oh Y/N this tastes amazing." He said. " Yeah you're bread isn't that bad." I said. " Not that bad? I thought I followed the recipe exactly. Did I do something wrong? Do I not know how to make bread?" He asked himself. I could see that he was in distress. It was just like before. " I-It's good. It's good. You cooked it perfectly." I said. " Oh...good. For a moment I thought that I messed up." He said. " He fears being wrong about anything. Is this part of what turned him to a life of lies?" I thought to myself. After we finished eating, he helped me with the dishes and I showed him to the guest room. " This is where you'll be staying. My room is right down the hall if you need anything." I said. He nodded. 
" Thank you for allowing me to stay and for being so kind." He said. " No problem. Goodnight Shadow Milk." I said. " Goodnight Y/N." He said. I then walked to my room and closed the door.

Shadow Milk's POV

I found myself unable to sleep. Despite this bed being as soft as a marshmallow, I couldn't sleep. I sighed and slowly got up. I opened the door and walked down to Y/N's room. " Maybe she's awake?" I thought to myself. But as I reached for the door, I heard a soft scream from the other side. I quickly opened the door and saw Y/N in distress. She was having a nightmare. I quickly ran over to her and tried waking her but she was deep asleep. Oh no. what do I do?" I thought to myself. I then remembered that i have the power to see into thoughts and dreams. I climbed over Y/N and placed my forehead against hers. I was able to see into her dream. In her dream, I saw complete horror. Her village was destroyed and there were cookies crumbled around her. She looked terrified as she looked up at a dark figure. This figure wore black and had horns on top of her head. She also had a staff in the shape of a skull. This cookie looked truly terrifying. 

" Tch, I hate lying but I have to make sure Y/N has peaceful dreams tonight." I said. I then used my powers to manipulate her dream into a happy one. In her new dream, everyone was alive and it was happy. I looked down at Y/N and noticed her smiling. " Do cookies really find comfort in lies?" I thought to myself. I sighed and laid down next to Y/N. " Are lies more comforting than the truth?" I thought to myself as i drifted off.

Y/N's POV

I woke up to the sun hitting my eyes. " Mmmm...." I moaned as I slowly opened them. When I opened me eyes, I immediately saw Shadow Milk asleep next to me. I quickly sat up and scooted away from him. " W-What? Why is he in my bed?" I thought to myself. Shadow Milk began to stir and opened his eyes. He slowly sat up and yawned. I could tell something was off though. 
" Good morning." I said. " Good morning." He said. " Are you okay?" I asked. " Yeah i just...." He said with a sigh. I scooted a little closer to him. " Can i ask you a question?" He asked. " What is it?" I asked. " Do you think it would be better to lie to cookies rather than telling them the truth" he asked. My eyes widened in shock. " Why do you say that?" I asked. " You were having a nightmare last night and I used my powers to manipulate your dream and give you a happy one where no one died. You looked so peaceful after that. You found comfort in a lie." He said, looking down.
