Chapter 41

Jude and Marisa could have arrived at the scene of Jude's family in record time but they encountered a few "obstacles" along the way. When they did finally arrive most of the streets were littered with bodies and the body count was rising thanks to Simon's dark side wreaking havoc and Ezra ,their father , going all god of war on the poor vamps.

Marisa hopped off of Jude's back and stood in a fighting stance next to Lucy who did not notice her until she said "Glad you saved some for us "

"Huh " Lucy said as she snapped someone's neck then she turned and made a scream of joy and a choke of pain when she saw Marisa "Oh shit you're alive. Gale Marisa's alive" she yelled as she wrapped her arms around Marisa. Marisa hugged her back a surge of emotion coming up.

" Glad you're back Marisa and sorry Lucy but me and Jude kind of need help here " Gale yelled from somewhere far off. Marisa smiled and shook her head . Lucy smiled too as she looked up .

" I missed you Marisa , you're like the older sister I never wanted" Lucy said.
"Thanks Lucy and you remind me of my younger sister , who I miss but I think you're doing a good job - "
"Ladies , help !" This time it was Jude . Marisa saw that they were fending off tons of vampires back-to-back . She deemed it kind of cool.

"Coming !" Marisa and Lucy yelled at the same time . They immediately jumped into battle beside their loved ones. All of the other brothers were still of somewhere else but Gale,Jude, Saber,Lucy and Marisa held down the fort or street filled with raving mad vampires but whatever. Heads were flying here and there and it took Marisa all she had not to cringe but she had been through worse.

She was glad that she wasn't a vampire anymore but she wasn't too psyched about being a faerie , that wasn't too awesome. Anyways, back to the fight, Marisa and Jude fought back to back like in some action movie and with all the chaos around them it looked absolutely cool. As a familiar scene played out and a group of vampires began to circle them , Jude whispered "Marisa ?"

"Yes" Marisa said, her attention half on him and half on the angry vamps.

"I just want to say that if we die today I really love you and . . . " He began but Marisa cut him off. She angrily punched a female vamp, breaking her nose and said "I know all that but now isn't the time for any 'I love you's' Jude plus you're not going to die . . . we're not dying not today ." She continued to fight and Jude did as well but his attention was solely on her.

After he figured he shouldn't wait too long before Penny came and tried to kill them all, he quickly shoved off the vampire he'd been fighting , went over to Marisa grabbed her by the shoulders and turned her so that she was staring at him with an pissed expression . "What the fuck Jude?"

"Sorry, I just really have to say this and get it out of the way . Listen I love you Marisa and I seriously want to be with you for the rest of my life but if we were seriously going to die here today , I'd like to die knowing that you said yes."

"Yes to what ?" Marisa said with a bemused expression. She felt that she knew he was about to say and all of her attention was focused on Jude at the moment. Luckily , Gale picked up both of their slack kind of literally. Back to Jude, who was smiling at Marisa now. His sharp canine's gleamed under the lights. "What is it ?" Marisa said becoming impatient after he didn't say anything for a whole minute. Her hands itched to get back to the fight.

" Yes to you marrying me ?" Jude asked unsure. Marisa's mouth dropped and her eyes went wide with surprise , she was speechless. Jude's smile fell when she didn't say anything for awhile. He saw tears coming to her eyes and he thought that she would say no. Marisa's mouth opened to form the answer he would be waiting for but she never got the words out. Jude's hands fell off her arms when he saw something behind her. That look was followed by a high-pitched scream that belonged to Lucy. Marisa didn't want to turn but when she saw Jude's face become even paler and he moved steps behind her she had to turn.
