chapter 1-

The grand welcome
" you can just make yourself at home darling, my daughter hannah is so excited to finally see you, shes been waiting for you ever since i told her"

" thank you, im just going to put my bags upstairs" i say whilst patting down the sweat dripping on my head because for some reason it was just too hot in the living room.

The house was 3 stories each story belonging to one of the individuals in this house, sadly i wont be sharing a floor with hannah but instead her twin brother ralph as theirs more space. I heard about ralph in my old school district typical bad boy i just hope he doesn't give me any trouble and leaves me be.

" what you looking at, the fuck?" He nudges past me as he races to his door to slam shut.

"Oh.. hi.. i am ar..."
Well i guess i couldn't finish my name since he was so eager to cut me off without even knowing me. I really do hope i settle in tomorrow at the new school. No one knows me and atleast now i have people who can protect me at my school like hannah so nothing happens to me like my old school. I really am worried.

" OH MY GOSH SHES HERE, SHES HERE EVERYONE" hannah comes running downstairs.

" hey babe sooo who is everyone????"

4 other girls come rushing downstairs all looking the same with nothing but different shoes on, quite freaky if you ask me, carbon copies of eachother.

"So this is aisha, helen , riya and emma , their my best friends and we are all going to get on so well im so excited."

"Yay.."

I quickly said my hellos and went into my room i cannot be bothered to socialise especially since the person i am sharing floors with quite literally slammed his door in my face. Anyways im going to sleep as i genuinely can't even take this any longer.

-9 pm-
" wake up.. ari.. WAKE UP!"

Standing right ontop of my face like a chandelier was ralph with his phone on the highest brightness ever. I wanted to shove my foot so far down his throat i genuinely thought i was late to my first day.

" so you slam the door in my face and now your demanding things, fuck off mate.""

He sat on my bed and pulled my covers away with a look on his face that showed he ment bussiness, i got
Kind of worried i thought something had happened.
He got closer and closer and i started to panic as i was getting vivid flashbacks my breath started to get heavier and heavier my necklace was practically dancing on my neck and he watched it.

"Yo chill out im just moving closer so i dont fall of the bed god sake".

" what do you want?"

" these are the rules for my floor , your living here so you listen to what i say got it?"

"If i dont listen then what, your going to ground me?"

"Dont test me ari, im not the one."

He showes me his bright phone with 5 simple yet weirdly specific rules.

RULES-
1. Do not sneak any boys in
2. Do not snitch on me
3. Always keep my window open
4. Do not enter my room when my friends are here
5. Do not speak to grace when she comes.

"Okay but wait.. whose grace?"

"And rule 6 do not ask about grace.. if you want your senior year to go well tape face you need to follow my rules!"

What a bitch i couldn't stop thinking over the fact he called me tape face just because i sleep with mouth tape to bed, no one told him to come storming in like he owns the place. His mum does.

"Okay ill follow your stupid rules now leave."

"And dont tell anyone at school tomorrow you know me."

Hearing that kind of hurt but i knew what type of boy he was from before i even got here i just thought he would have some more self respect for me atleast. Anyways tomorrow is a big day i guess i should go back to sleep since i was rudely inturuped.

From the distance i can hear ralph, hannah and their mum talking outside in the garden.. i creep into ralphs room and listen by the window he always has open.

"Ralph i told you. You need to be nice she has had a rough year and i do not want you to make it even worse  for her" his mum said whispering.

"Wait what happened mum, i want to know if shes okay shes my friend."

" hannah you just met her but what even happened to her she seems so jumpy all the time."

"Thats none of your concerns all i ask is you guys treat her with respect."

"Thats bullshit she comes into my house and shares my floor and you wont even tell us what happened to her, im going to my room." Ralph storms off and before i could even get up it was too late to even leave his room.

"What are you doing here.. he slams the door behind him as his face gets redder and redder every second i don't answer."

"Oh.. i just heard you guys talking and.."

"And.. and what your just someone who my mum took pity on i know you heard what she said tell me what happened to you!" He raises his voice.

"No. I need to go sleep."

" dont you dare ever come into my room again ari and i promise You I Will make you regret it."

My eyes filled with water as he looked down at me and realised his face softened as my eyes started to fill like buckets, you could see his instant regret but fighting the urge to say anything.

He moved away from the door rolling his eyes and slamming it as i stand outside, i could see his shadow on the floor waiting for me to start walking, i really do think he hates me.
