Couple things before we start the story
Neither Fairy Tail or Honkai: Star Rail is owned by me, I don't want to get banned, thanks
I've never actually played Honkai: Star Rail, I'm making this purely because I thought it would be funny to ship Natsu with some of the girls from the game, I know most of the plot up to the end of Jarilo-VI, after that, I know nothing
This is a harem story so if you don't like those, then leave
The last thing is I'm going to have to fuck with the ages of each character a lot in order to make this not illegal or morally questionable
Enjoy.
The plan had been simple.
Elegant, even. A single decisive act meant to spare the future from ruin.
So how had it gone so wrong in just a few seconds?

Moonlight filtered through the forest canopy in pale, fractured beams, illuminating a clearing that felt far too quiet for what was about to occur. The air itself seemed to tremble, thick with magic so dense it pressed against the skin like an unseen weight.
A young woman stood at the edge of the clearing, her cloak fluttering faintly despite the absence of wind. Her hands were clenched tight at her sides as she stared at the five children scattered across the grass, each of them slowly stirring from magical sleep.
Her voice, when she finally spoke, wavered despite her attempt to sound steady.
"Zeref... are you sure we should do this?"
She turned toward the man standing beside her. He looked calm — too calm — dark eyes fixed on the towering structure behind them.
"These are just children," she continued, guilt creeping into every word. "For all we know, we could be sending them straight to their deaths."
Zeref did not look away from the gate.
"We passed the point of debating right and wrong a long time ago," he replied quietly. "If they stay here, their deaths are guaranteed. This era will only consume them."
He finally turned to face her, his expression grim but resolute.
"The future has to be better than this. It has to be."
The woman exhaled slowly, shoulders sagging beneath the weight of responsibility she never wanted.
"...My clan will be ready," she said after a moment. "We'll open the gate again in the future. When the time comes."
Zeref nodded once.
"Then we begin."
Behind them loomed the Eclipse Gate.
It towered over the treeline like a wound carved into reality itself — a massive, arch shaped structure etched with ancient runes that pulsed with power both celestial and profane. Light and shadow intertwined across its surface, two opposing forces barely held in balance. Even standing near it felt dangerous, as though one wrong step could tear a soul apart.
Anna swallowed her fear.
Reaching beneath her cloak, she drew out a golden key.
Then another.
And another.
One by one, twelve golden keys emerged, slipping from her grasp and floating into the air as if pulled by an invisible force. They orbited her briefly before drifting toward the massive lock at the gate's center.
