Chapter 36 | You Knew

You were fast asleep that night, the wind outside was calm and cool as it seeped in through your cracked window.

Despite being in a deep sleep, you were awakened by the sound of large explosions going off, making you jolt awake.

'What the hell was that... are villains attacking the school?! No not again' you grimaced at the thought and rushed to your sliding door, opening it quickly to fly up to the sky and look for the problem...

As you scanned campus you saw large blasts coming from ground Gamma, the city scape training grounds.

'People are fighting down there... those explosions, are they Bakugo's?! Is the League trying to take him again?!' You began to internally panic, unsure of what to do

'Do I confront them? Try to help? Or should I get Mr Aizawa and the other teachers?' You contemplated your options, 'I won't let them take anyone again!'

You zipped over quietly to ground Gamma, landing on top of one of the taller buildings to scout the situation. As you looked down a slight sigh of relief left your lungs, seeing it was only Midoriya and Bakugo fighting...

'Wait... Midoriya and Bakugo... FIGHTING?!' Before you could get down to try and stop them you saw Bakugo stumble to the ground... he began yelling at Midoriya who offered a hand to help him up.

You couldn't hear much of what they were saying except for the ending of Bakugo's agitated speech

"Why is it that you got so much better... AND I DESTROYED ALL MIGHT?!" He shouted, followed by a mutter of words inaudible to you, then another desperate outburst, "BUT ITS BECAUSE OF ME THAT HE ENDED UP LOSING HIS POWER!! If I had been stronger... If I wasn't so easily kidnapped by villains! NON OF THIS WOULDVE HAPPENED," he explained

You let out a shallow exhale of pain and regret... you knew this feeling all too well... you should've talked about the incident with him... to let him know he wasn't alone... that's what a real hero would've done...

'He blames himself... when I was the one that couldn't protect him and the others...' your eyes began to water as you sat with you back against the inner ledge of the rooftop, your hands clutched over your mouth as a tear began to breakaway and roll down your cheek.

"I can't get it out of my head! It's like it's constantly playing on loop!" Bakugo said with a shaky and cracking voice, "SO WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!" He screamed out desperately,

The 2 boys started fighting again, bringing you back to your senses. You stood up and watched as they continued to batter and bruise one another. You knew that they had their own grievances to hash out. You knew this the only way Bakugo would've handled the situation. You wanted to interfere but at the same time... you knew what he was feeling. Bakugo was the only one who understood how you felt, and this was how he got those emotions out. You weren't the one to stop them right now.

Just when you thought things couldn't get worse, Midoriya had punched Bakugo in the face harshly. The blond boy retaliated, kicking the freckled boy's stomach before grabbing his shirt and spinning him around. As a result Bakugo shot out a massive explosion that hurled the 2 boys straight into the ground. You were blown back slightly, letting out a quiet cough to try and clear the smoke from your lungs.

You stood once again, seeing the 2 boys panting and weak. Midoriya pinned to the ground by his face, and Bakugo holding him down with his hands and legs. Your heart was racing at what you just witnessed.

You were pulled from the scene at the sight and sound of All Might approaching, and you knew this fight was done. You sighed regretfully at your inability to bring yourself to stop the fight, jumping down from the roof top and cushioning your fall with a boost of your quirk.
