The next morning while I was doing my makeup before my shift, he suddenly opened the door, looked at me and nodded his head like he was inviting me inside so smoothly?? 😭😭 but I just ignored him and kept doing my thing.

Later that night when I was about to clock out, I saw him eating in the kitchen and he offered me food but I refused (I don't like eating there at night). n That's when I found out he was only 16 ?! what?? He was the youngest baker there, just like I was the youngest saleslady (14 n 16 yum) 😭

When his shift was 7AM–7PM, he would peek through the curtain to check what bread to bake and I would secretly glance at him but he'd already be staring at me with those sharp eyes 😭 we had these long eye contacts and when he'd leave I'd mumble things like "stop staring at me like I owe you money" 😭😭

One day, I finally asked my girl co-worker his name and she said he's called Spike/Pike (but everyone calls him Pike more).

I told her, "Omg he's handsome but keep it a secret pleasee" and she threatened to tell him!!

She went inside and called him "Pikeee" and he replied "Oh?" 😭 but she didn't spill it.

But the next day, everyone was teasing me and Pike?! I was like OMG did Pearl (my co-worker) tell everyone he's my crush?? But apparently she didn't — my other co-worker (Mae) told me

"Someone here has a crush on you too."

And I was like "Who???"

And she said "The smallest guy here. He likes you." and I swear my brain exploded 😭😭😭

So for days everyone teased us but we never talked about it. We'd steal glances, pass bread to each other, little touches and tension... AHHHH 😭

One day, while I was serving two women, Pike peeked out

I swear he was flirting with them?? The girls were giggling.

I wanted to say "Hi bae, back off he's mine 💔" 😭😭

After they left, he stepped out like he was looking for them and came back inside. I felt so jealous even though we weren't together 😭😭

Later, he was watching a vlog with other bakers while I was taking out the trash. When I came back, he looked at me with those pleading eyes, blinking and pouting. I slapped him 😭 and he just stared with his sharp eyes again omg. I almost kissed him but he backed his head n it was so awkward so I change the topic and asked "If I say I'm jealous, would you care?" he throw his cigarette aside n said "Yes." 😭😭😭

like y'all I don't even know why I liked him, he literally smokes and that was a big fucking no to mee😔 but he always puts it aside whenever I'm near him.

I lost my mind and kissed his cheek and RAN back inside. Then I remembered there's CCTV inside the bakery AHHHH 😭😭😭 Manager please don't replay that omg.

Later, when he handed me a bread container, I grabbed it back from him kinda aggressively 😭

I was mumbling and debating to myself about jealousy n why is it a 8 letter word (I was thinking about that one title on my book : reverence AND WHY DID I PUT '5-letter word' IN THERE HOLYSHI) then he peeked through the curtain and asked "Are you angry?" I said "What do you think??" He just looked at me, hopeless and went back inside 😭😭
