Soobin wasn't paranoid.
He was observant.
The way Beomgyu flushed when Yeonjun entered a room.
The way Yeonjun's eyes always found him.
It wasn't nothing.
So he tested it.
He planted the tiniest camera above the living room bookshelf. Another one tucked into Yeonjun's desk lamp.
Just for confirmation.
And then he made his move.
"So like... we could do the project at mine this time?"
Beomgyu blinked. "Isn't Yeonjun home?"
"Nope. He's with friends. You good with that?"
Beomgyu hesitated.
Then nodded. "Sure. Whatever."
Soobin grinned. Internally.
They did the project. Math. Boring stuff.
Soobin even acted chill. Casual.
But then—
"Hey, I'll go grab snacks. The store's like five minutes away."
"You sure?"
"Yeah," Soobin said, grabbing his keys. "Don't touch my ice cream."
ONE KILOMETER AWAY
Soobin sat in his friend's car with a laptop open on the dashboard, camera feeds rolling. His heart racing.
Minutes passed.
Then—
The door creaked open on-screen.
Beomgyu sat up from the couch, blinking.
"Back already?"
No answer.
Then—
Soobin could hear Yeonjun's voice
"Soobin's not here."
Beomgyu froze. "What are you—"
Then,
Cut off.
Yeonjun was on him.
Pushed him back. Kissed him like it was a hunger.
And Soobin watched. Jaw open. A chip mid-air.
"Holy. Shit."
Yeonjun's lips moved to Beomgyu's jaw, his throat, lower.
Soobin's hand shot out. He muted the audio.
"I knew it."
Right before clothes started flying, Soobin shut the feed.
Respectfully.
He sat there. In silence. Still processing.
Then he grabbed another chip and whispered to himself—
"If they get married and don't invite me, I'm burning the house down."
