This thought made a knot turn in her already sick stomach, but she was too tired to move around and throw a tantrum. Instead she was satisfied staying on one side of her bed, her nightgown all wrinkled and misplaced as she felt her body being swallowed whole by the mattress with every hour she was spending in that damn poor excuse of a house.

Knock knock.
"Viktoria, do you want some chocolate?"
Ann said from the doorway.
***
Knock knock.
"Viktoriaaaa, you won't guess what Professor Cruel told us today! It's something about youuuuuu!"
Ann said from the doorway.
***
Knock knock.
"Viktoria, do you wanna help me get rid of and potentially beat a random dude who's been sitting on the front porch for the past weeks?"
Ann said from beside the bed.
***
Knock knock.
"Viktoriaaaa! I'm 108% sure Ace has a thing for Riddle's left pinky toe!"
Ann said from beside the bed.
***
No knock.
"You need to eat."
Ann said, standing in front of her.
***
No knock.
"Grim's asking me about you, Tori."
Ann said from the doorway.
***
No knock.
"You're always such a drama queen. You don't even look bad. If you ask me, scars are sexy."
Ann shook her hips sassily in front of her.
***
No knock.
"I met someone today who'd be willing to help with your fingers, Viktoria. You just need to get up and meet them!"
***
Viktoria couldn't remember after that.

After the first two weeks since she came home, she only ever spoke once:
"Where is my wand?"
Somehow, despite seeing it snap right in front of her face (along with the two fingers she still didn't have the courage of looking down at), she was still hoping a miracle happened and she'd find it intact anew.
For if she didn't... then she was less useful than a white crayon to a child.
By losing her ability to cast magic and her beauty she single handedly managed to lose the two things she most held precious about her in her heart. The two things that made her useful in the first place.
What was a cracked collection doll but trash?
What was a pureblood without magic, if not an empty name for a dead man?
Nothing.
She had been reduced to absolutely nothing .
And despite having trained with the general, Viktoria couldn't even attack properly, all she was good at was dodging. And dodging was nowhere enough for what she needed to do.
