✨ Q1: What is a computer?
Answer:
A computer is an electronic device that takes input, processes it, and gives output, while also being able to store data for future use.
💻 It's basically a super-efficient, emotionless multitasker 😭
✨ Q2: What are the main components of a computer system?
Answer:
Hardware – The physical parts (CPU, keyboard, monitor, etc.) Software – The programs & applications (like MS Word, Python, etc.) Data – Raw facts & figures Users – Us. The ✨humans✨ giving instructions
Think of it like:
🖥️ + 💿 + 🔢 + 🧍♀️ = 💻 Computer System!
✨ Q3: What is the difference between hardware and software?
Hardware
Software
Physical parts
Programs or instructions
Can be touched
Can't be touched
Example: CPU, keyboard
Example: MS Excel, games
✨Analogy: If a computer is a brain—hardware is the brain organ, software is the thoughts.
✨ Q4: What are the types of software?
Answer:
System Software – Runs the computer (e.g., Operating Systems like Windows, Linux) Application Software – For specific tasks (e.g., Canva, Word, Python IDEs) Utility Software – Maintenance tools (e.g., antivirus, disk cleaner)
✨ Q5: What is data and information?
Data = raw facts (like: "Tuli", "16", "Python") Information = meaningful output from processing data (like: "Tuli is 15 and learning Python")
✨ Q6: What are the characteristics of a computer?
Answer:
Speed – Fast like your crush ghosting you 💀 Accuracy – Very low chance of mistakes Automation – Can work non-stop Versatility – Can multitask like a Gen Z queen 👑 Storage – Has more memory than both of us combined 😭
✨ Q7: Define IPO cycle.
Answer:
The IPO cycle is the Input-Process-Output cycle, i.e.:
Input – Giving data (e.g., typing) Process – Working on it (CPU does the magic 🪄) Output – Getting results (screen shows answer)
✨ Q8: What is a CPU?
Answer:
CPU = Central Processing Unit = brain of the computer 🧠💻
It does all the processing.
It has:
ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit) – Does math and logic CU (Control Unit) – Controls and directs operations
✨ Q9: What are Input and Output devices?
Input Devices – Used to enter data (e.g., keyboard, mouse, scanner) Output Devices – Show result (e.g., monitor, printer, speakers)
✨ Q10: Define memory. What are its types?
Answer:
Memory stores data/instructions.
Primary Memory (Main memory): RAM – Temporary, fast ROM – Permanent, non-editable Secondary Memory: HDD, SSD, pen drive – Big storage but slower
✨ Memory = Your brain notes.
✨ Storage = Your file cabinet.
