"No way. I like it. I'm just– I'm just not used to it." She says, mumbling the last bit before projecting her voice slightly to talk to Jinx. "Why would Vander be all the way down here?"

"Beats me. Ask him yourself." She says barely even looking back at us.

"When are you gonna admit that this is just one of your fantasies? Or do you not want the kid to know how delusional you are?" Vi seethes at her sister slightly, shaking her head and causing me to nudge her disapprovingly.

"You know she wasn't always like this." Jinx explains to Isha, bending down to her as they continue walking. "She used to be pretty cool, before I kicked her butt."

"Jinx!" I warn, knowing that the sisters were gonna end up fighting pretty soon.

"What? I don't know what you mean!"

"Uh huh? Sure." I nod sarcastically.

"Delusional." Vi spits.

"Wish I was just seeing things when you decided to throw in with the Piltie goons that murdered mom and dad." Jinx argues as she stops and turns to face Vi.

"Well at least they never had to see the psycho their daughter turned into." Vi insists as I let go of her hand and join Isha by her side. This isn't gonna end well.

"Which one?!" She counters. "Wake up, sis. I'm a hero. I busted half of Zaun out of Stillwater while you were passed out in the bottom of a mug."

"Ok I helped!"

"Yeah, thanks Bran." Jinx dismisses. "Now, can it and keep walking before I kick your ass again." I just know that she has the smuggest smile on her face. Shame I can't see it.

"You wouldn't last one second without all your ugly gadgets and chicken shit tricks." Vi claims.

"Ha! What about those overdesigned bitch mittens you didn't even build yourself." Jinx taunts making me snort slightly, though I couldn't say much with my daggers.

A hiss sounds through the caves followed by a loud enough thud to relight the fungi as Vi drops her gauntlets. "You think I need these to–"

She's cut off by Jinx slapping her across her face. The slap echos down the cavern and makes the fungi glow faintly once again. "There; one second." She counters again, shrugging with what I can guess is a fat smirk. As she goes to turn away, Vi pulls her back by her braids and the two fight pathetically on the floor.

I mutter to myself, plonking down on the floor. I shake my head as the sisters slap and kick weakly at each other in a way reminiscent of play fighting. Isha runs in and jumps on Vi's back, hitting her as well and before I can stop her, she bites Vi. She yells out in pain and slaps the kid away, clearly without even thinking. Isha screeches in pain as she lands next to me.

The sisters stop fighting and Jinx is immediately next to us. We both help the little girl up and pat her down from any dust.

"Hey kid, still got all your insides?" Jinx asks, to which Isha shugs, unaffected. I scoff at her nonchalant response and put her hat back on her head before she drags Jinx ahead.

I turn back to see Vi standing above me with her hand held towards me. I chuckle lightly and accept the offer, letting her pull me up. "I didn't mean to." She whispers.

"I know."

"I did it without thinking, I swear."

"Vi, I know... just stop fighting with your sister it's pathetic."

She chuckles lightly at my words and nods, grabbing my hand. I see Isha run off ahead to explore whilst Jinx stays nearer to us, calling for her to not wander too far. Vi leans down to grab her gauntlets as she addresses Jinx.

"Why'd you come get me? You don't need me here, you haven't for a long time."

Jinx hesitates before speaking softly, not turning around. "Last time we tried to save Vander, we tried it alone and nothing was ever the same. So, maybe this is like a do over. Besides, he's your father too."

Vi lets go of my hand, walking ahead down where Isha went as she puts on her gauntlets without saying a word. Jinx looks to me and the two of us shrug before smiling and linking arms to follow them.
