Chapter 26 Pretend?

"It's okay Keifer. I'd manage. You carry on with your work." She said and smiled awkwardly.

Ughh I know that what Eve did to me wasn't good but she was my friend. I can't just leave her like that. I'll explain everything to Jay.

"It's fine. Get in. I'd take you to my place first. I'd tell my driver to drop you home after that." I said and her eyes lit up.

She forced herself to get into my car. Her foot must be hurting badly.

I started the engine and started driving. We weren't talking but she kept on staring at me.

"You know why I left Yuri?" She asked but I didn't reply. I kept on driving. Honestly I don't wanna talk about our complicated past and honestly I no longer care about that. I've my girl whom I love so much and more importantly she loves me back.

"Keifer, I regret that I chose Yuri over you. I did realise it back then that I loved you. The things I had for Yuri were just attractions. I loved you Keifer and I guess I still do." She said and my eyes widened in shock. I stopped the car abruptly and looked her.

"Eve, I respect everything you just said but you and me are long gone and now I've someone else I love more than anything."

"Keifer, I know I did you bad and you turned into a playboy. You never loved someone after me. She's just one of them. Right?"

"Don't you fuckin' dare say anything about Jay or I'll leave you fuckin' here. I love her to infinity and beyond. She's kind, sweet, pretty and most importantly she's mine. She loves me for who I'm." I screamed at her and she started crying.

I didn't mean to scream at her but she was saying things about my Jayjay. She isn't a rebound or just another girl for me, she's my life.

"I'm sorry." She said and started looking forward. I started the car again. We didn't talk for the whole ride. When we finally reached home she finally spoke up.

"Can you please help me to get out of the car?"

I didn't reply and sighed. I got out and ran to her side and opened the door. She held my hand and finally got out. I thought that she'd leave my hand but she didn't and looked at me.

"I can't walk Keifer. Please help me. I know me and you are done for good but I'm asking for your help as a friend." She said and clung to me.

I had no choice but I helped her inside. We got to the living area when I saw Jay. She was getting downstairs and damnn she was looking dangerously hot in that little back dress.

As I was looking at her, Eve tightened her arms around me. Jay's eyes darkened, she was glaring at me and damnn she could kill someone with that look. I'm done. I'm so done. This is my last day on the planet.

I tried to get to get Eve away from me but what she did was unexpected. She kissed me on the cheek and smirked.

I looked back at Jay, she was just standing still on the staircase and just looking at me. She didn't say anything. Just got downstairs and starting walking towards the exit.

No no no.....she can't leave without my explanation. Not this time.

I ran behind her and held her by her wrist. She tried to shook her hand away but my grip tightened on her wrist. She finally looked me and I noticed the tears in her eyes. Something inside me flinched.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT NOW?" She screamed at me. I could clearly see the anger and hurt in her eyes.

"Jay, her ankle got twisted. I was just helping her."

"And so how'd explain the kiss? What was it? A reward?"

"Jay, I promise, I didn't know she was going to do that. She told me that she still likes me but I swear I clearly told her that all I want is you. Only you." I said and finally she calmed down a bit.

"I thought you-"

"No. It's you Jay. It's always gonna be you." I cut her off and she finally smiled.

I leaned closer to her ears.

"You're looking too hot to let go today." I whispered in her ears and she chuckled while blushing.

"Ahem ahem!! Get a room guys. There are children in this house." Keigan said while grinning.

"I'm happy that finally Kuya and Ate Jay got back to each other." Keiren said and clapped excitedly.

I looked at Eve and she was smiling awkwardly.

"I'm sorry guys. I thought that you guys are just casual. I thought Keifer still feels something for me. I was just trying to....to make him fall for me again." She said while sobbing and ran away.

That's when I noticed that her ankle was alright. Was she pretending?

I looked at Jay again. Her eyes were stuck at me too. I leaned closer to her and sealed her lips in a passionate kiss.
