Chapter 4 Web of Lies

Jayjay's POV

*Flashback Continuation*

Ughhh..... Today is Monday again. After that magical weekend of confessions, I don't wanna go to school anymore but I have to because I'm so excited to see Keifer. I got up from my bed, took a shower, put my clothes on with some makeup and left for school without breakfast as I was getting damnn late.

I started walking to school and that's when I checked my phone and noticed Keifer's text.

From: Keifer 🫶🏻
Message: I won't be able to pick u up today, I'm sorry I'm kinda busy.

To: Keifer🫶🏻
Message: It's okay!

Though I was kinda disappointed because I was really excited to see him but still it's okay. He has to take care of his siblings before coming to school and then picking me up must be really hard for him. I was on my way to school and I saw Ci-n on the way. He waved at me and came towards me.

"Goodmorning Jay, had a nice dance with Keifer huhh!" He said teasingly and I kinda blushed.

"You know you're blushing." He said laughing and I punched his arm. We were about to enter the school gate that's when I noticed that Ci-n was looking at me seriously so I asked,

"Hey, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Jay it's just... that.. I wanna say....like...."he stammered and sighed and then said, "Jay, don't trust Keifer that easily you know his reputation is kinda fucked when it comes to girls. I just don't want you to get hurt. Be careful."

" Don't worry Ci, I have known him since we were just kids so it'll be fine and he's not that bad." I said and he nodded and we started walking to our building.

We were about to reach our classroom that's when Rakki came running to me.

"Jay, your cousin....Keifer... Cafeteria..." She said and she was breathing so heavily. I didn't understand what happened but I started running towards the cafeteria. I thought that Keifer and Aries got involved in another fight. But when I reached there I was shocked to see that Keifer was punching Aries non-stop and everyone was standing there, watching like it's a fuckin' play and they're the audience. I went towards them, I couldn't take it anymore, I pushed Keifer away with all my strength. He slightly backed away and I took the opportunity to cover Aries.

"Jayjay what are you doing, get out of there." Aries said but avoided him and instead I asked Keifer,

"Are you fuckin' mad, how can you punch your best friend so mercilessly. You fuckin' idiot."

"Jayjay I'm telling you, JUST FUCKIN' STAY OUT OF IT." He screamed at me with so much anger and I won't lie but I got so much scared of him. I haven't seen this side of him before.

"I won't stay out of it because he's my cousin and I care about him unlike you, who hit his best friend like he's fuckin' nothing to you." I screamed at him.

He sighed and then said, "Firstly I don't need to explain myself to you and secondly he isn't my best friend, he's just a backstabber who stole something that was supposed to be mine." He closed his eyes and that's when I noticed that Ella was standing behind him and was crying hysterically. He opened his eyes again and that's when I noticed so muchhh anger in his eyes. I was literally so scared.

"He kissed Ella, here in the cafeteria in front of everyone. What do you expect from me, to watch them together and be happy." He said so angrily but those words hit me so hard. Ella still matters to him. He fuckin' lied that he doesn't care about her anymore. I just hold back my tears and gathered all my strength to ask him,
