SEASON 4, EPISODE 4: "The Groomed One"

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM – SEOUL BASE – NIGHT

Fluorescent lights flicker above. The room is small. Cold. A single chair faces Lisa.

Across from her, the intruder — hands cuffed, a smirk like he's already won.

LISA
(still, commanding)
Who sent you?

INTRUDER
I expected sharper teeth from Kim Hyun Bin's little pet. Or should I say... his project?

Lisa doesn't flinch. But her fingers twitch slightly, jaw tightening. Not fear. Focus.

LISA
You broke protocol. You endangered civilians. That's treason, not poetry.

INTRUDER
(chuckling)
You're exactly what they built. Precise. Ruthless. Groomed to be their perfect soldier.
But you already knew that, didn't you?

Lisa leans forward, quiet rage in her gaze.

LISA
Say that again.

INTRUDER
Oh, sweetheart — your father was a pawn. Just like you. He served, obeyed, died like a good dog.
You? You're just the next in line.

Lisa grabs the table edge — not attacking, but anchoring herself. A beat.

She speaks low.

LISA
My father chose honor. I choose fire.

The door swings open. Taeyong appears, unreadable. He nods to Lisa.

TAEYONG
You're done here. The rest comes from upstairs.

Lisa stands slowly, staring the intruder down.

LISA
Next time you want to talk legacy... remember which one of us walked out of this room.

She leaves.

INT. HALLWAY – MOMENTS LATER

Outside, Lisa walks fast. Controlled. But inside, something's unraveling.

She turns a corner—straight into Jisoo, who was clearly waiting.

JISOO
You okay?

Lisa doesn't answer immediately. She looks down at her hands, clenched too tight.

LISA
He said I was groomed. Like I was... programmed.

JISOO
Maybe you were. But I've seen you choose your own fire. Every damn day.

Lisa meets her eyes. A flicker of gratitude, then something softer.

LISA
Thanks.

JISOO
Don't thank me. Just don't forget it.

They walk down the corridor together — quiet, strong.

INT. JENNIE'S FAMILY STUDY – SAME NIGHT

Jennie stands at the fireplace, fingers ghosting over a photo of her father with Lisa's. The silence is heavy.

SON YE JIN
(softly)
He was proud of Lisa. Even if he couldn't show it.

Jennie turns. Her mother watches her carefully.

SON YE JIN
Don't let the ghosts of their war shape the life you're trying to build.
Lisa isn't just your partner on the field, is she?

Jennie doesn't speak. Her silence is the answer.
