ROSÉ (grinning)
Let's not. I've already burned three brain cells trying to explain to Jisoo that some people flirt with subtlety.
JISOO (scoffs, mock-offended)
And yet, here you are, looking at me like I'm dessert.
ROSÉ (slowly bites a protein bar)
Only because you're covered in crumbs and regrets.
The table howls. Jisoo throws a napkin at her. Rosé catches it mid-air.
JISOO (low voice, amused)
One day you'll slip. And I'll be there.
ROSÉ (teasing)
You're always there, baby.
They hold a look too long—soft, challenging. Seulgi rolls her eyes.
LISA
You all want to run laps?
JUNGKOOK
Only if Jennie's watching. I run faster when I'm emotionally compromised.
🔹 INT. MEDICAL BAY – SHORTLY AFTER
Jennie is doing paperwork. Irene (logistics officer, sharp as a knife, observant) strolls in with a smirk.
IRENE
Squad gossip says you're emotionally compromising Captain Manoban.
JENNIE (not looking up)
I'm emotionally compromising myself by working with this level of immaturity.
IRENE
Mmm. You say that, but you're always tenser after seeing her.
JENNIE
It's not tension. It's... caution.
IRENE
Sure. Just remember—some people crash into each other like they were built for impact.
Jennie pauses, eyes flicking up.
🔥 INT. FLIGHT TOWER – MOMENTS LATER
ALERT KLAXONS BLARE. Lights flash red.
DISPATCH (V.O.)
Distress signal inbound—Recon Unit Bravo down. Last known location: Sector Echo-5. Medivac requested immediately.
Lisa's team drops everything. Boots slam against metal. Jennie's already grabbing her kit, eyes sharp.
LISA (commanding)
Seulgi, take point. Mingyu, gear up with Jisoo. Jungkook, back up the evac. Doctor Kim—you're riding with me.
JENNIE
I wasn't asking for permission.
LISA (meeting her eyes)
Didn't sound like it.
🔹 EXT. DESERTED RIDGE – ECHO-5 – LATER
A sandstorm is rolling in. Visibility low. Wind howls.
Lisa and Jennie ride together in the lead transport. Quiet. Tension lingers.
JENNIE
You always drag medics into your warzones?
LISA
Only the ones who don't flinch.
A faint smile on Jennie's lips.
JENNIE
Lucky you.
🔥 EMERGENCY SCENE – INTENSE MOMENT
The crash site is chaos. A burning wreckage. Two wounded soldiers trapped under a collapsed metal beam. One is unconscious. The other is panicking.
Lisa coordinates cover fire while Jennie dives in to triage, barking orders. Debris explodes nearby—Lisa shields her without hesitation.
JENNIE (snapping at her)
I don't need a hero. I need space.
LISA
You get both or neither. Move faster.
Jennie's hands are slick with blood, breath shallow. She's brilliant under pressure—calculating doses, field-suturing, calling for stretchers.
A second blast goes off—a rogue detonation nearby. Lisa's ears ring. Jennie dives down beside her. Dust clouds everything.
JENNIE (checking her)
Lisa! Are you—?
Lisa grabs her wrist gently. She's fine. But something softens in her voice.
LISA
You came for them. But you stayed for me.
Jennie says nothing.
Then:
JENNIE
Don't make this a thing.
Lisa doesn't answer.
Because it already is.
🔹 EXT. ECHO-5 CRASH SITE – AFTERMATH
The entire team is regrouping post-mission. They're sweaty, bruised, but alive.
Jisoo has a small gash above her eyebrow. Rosé walks up with a first-aid kit.
JISOO
I'm fine.
ROSÉ
I didn't ask.
Rosé gently wipes away the blood. The mood shifts—quiet, focused. For a moment, it's just them.
ROSÉ (softly)
You always act tougher than you are.
JISOO
And you always pretend this doesn't scare you.
ROSÉ (beat)
It does. Only when it's you.
Jisoo looks away. Rosé tucks the kit back into her pack, shoulder brushing hers as she passes.
🔹 INT. BASE – NIGHT – AFTER THE MISSION
Later, Irene and Seulgi cross paths in the hallway. Both are walking in opposite directions, but stop.
SEULGI
You held your ground out there.
IRENE
You always say that like you're surprised.
SEULGI
No. Just impressed. Still.
They stand for a beat.
IRENE
One of these nights, you'll say what you really mean.
SEULGI (soft, unreadable)
One of these nights, I might not need to.
They walk away in opposite directions.
🔹 INT. BASE – NIGHT – POST-MISSION
Back at base. The squad is shaken but alive. Everyone decompresses in their own way. Jisoo sings softly. Seulgi sharpens her blade. Rosé hums and logs damage reports.
Jennie is cleaning her bloodied hands alone in the dark of the infirmary sink. She looks up—and sees Lisa, leaning against the wall.
LISA
You okay?
JENNIE (tired)
You should ask yourself that. You threw your body over mine.
LISA
Force of habit.
JENNIE
That habit's going to kill you.
LISA (quietly)
Or save you.
Jennie turns. Breathes in slowly. She steps close—but not too close.
JENNIE
You scared me.
LISA
You still flinch when I get too close.
JENNIE
That's not fear. That's self-control.
Lisa's eyes flicker. They stand in that charged space again.
Not kissing. Not walking away.
Just existing—too close, too aware, too tethered already.
LISA (gently)
You're allowed to care, Jennie.
JENNIE
No. You're allowed. I... survive.
Beat.
LISA
Then I'll carry the caring. For both of us. Just for now.
Jennie doesn't respond. But she doesn't leave.
