Chapter 15: We Build Then We Break

HAIIIIIII, sorry I haven't updated in a month. I had my exams and was uber stressed out with that and ya. The inspiration for this chapter is Fall Out Boys Miss Missing You

Jake's P.O.V

 I walked to Scarlette's room grinning like a mad hatter, I was so happy that Izzy believed me and was giong to help me. I never would have thought that they would help me. I knocked on the door and Amber answered. 

"What do you want" she said rudely, I realized that not everyone knew the truth about me. 

"Ermm I need to speak to Scarlette" I replied

"As usual, planning to ruin someones life I'm guessing" she said going to get Scarlette. It annoyed me and saddens me of what people thought of me because of one mistake I made, trusting Scarlette. 

"Ugh took you long enough, you were supposed to be here 5 minu-" Scarlette said coming to the door before I cut her off. She looked surprised since I have always obeyed her.

"Scarlette I'm not doing this anymore" I said

"What? Hahaha very funny Jake. Now as I was saying-" she laughed before I cut her off again.

"Scarlette I said I'm not doing this anymore. I'm not going to ruin someones life when there are other ways I can get money" I said

"You talked to one of them didn't you!" she said wide eyed

"NO! I'm done okay" I lied.

"If you leave you will regret it" she threatened

"I reget ever making this deal in the first place" I said before walking away. I went to my room, feeling relieved. It was like someone took a huge weight off my shoulders. I opened the door to my room and saw the other guys sitting on the couch watching Greys Anatomy. I started walking to my room, I didn't really like hanging out with them since I knew they didn't like me. 

"Jake, what the hell are you doing?" Finn said turning around to me

"Going to my room" I said

"No I mean with Izzy and them" he said

"They offered to help me thats all" I shrugged

"Really cause you really pissed Zayn off" he said

"Well I'm sorry then" I replied, I clenched my fists and put them in my hoodie pocket. I went to my room and closed the door. I sat on my bed and got out my phone. I had a text from my mum.

From:Mum

Hey love, how's college? I hope it's fine. Your brother is fine, but stil has to stay in the hospital. We miss you xoxo

To:Mum

Hi Mum, college is fine. Oh, I'l send some money soon. I miss you too

There was a knock at the door, someone went and got it. Josh came into the room

"Someones here for you" he said before going away. I got up and went to the door. It was Hazel.

"Hi" she smiled

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked letting her come inside. We went and sat the the dining table.

"I wanted to appologise about how I treated you and it wasn't fair." she said

"It's okay, you didn't know what was going on" I said

"How's Peter?" she asked

"He's okay, he's still in hospital though" I said, she nodded. We didn't say anything to each other for a while.
