"Are you sure you'll be okay alone?" Johnny asked, glancing at Nara with concern. His dance practice was about to start, but he hesitated to leave her by herself.
Nara, who still had nothing scheduled for the day, nodded reassuringly. "I'll be fine. Maybe I'll just hang out in the practice room with the keyboard."
Despite her words, Johnny still hesitated. After spending the day showing her around the building and introducing her to new faces—including some senior idols who recognized her from SIXTEEN—he wasn't quite ready to leave her alone just yet.
Johnny didn't look convinced. "Are you sure? You just got here. It might feel lonely."
She smiled at his concern. "I promise, I'll be okay. The room is right next to yours, so if anything happens, I'll come find you."
Johnny let out a small sigh before nodding. "Alright... but don't wander off alone, okay? I'll be next door if you need me."
"I know, I know," she said playfully. "Just go. I won't disappear."
Still, Johnny lingered. "I'll leave after you go in."
Nara let out a small groan, though amusement danced in her eyes. "Johnny..."
He remained firm, gesturing toward the door. "Go ahead."
She rolled her eyes but giggled as she pushed the door open. "Happy now?"
Johnny crossed his arms. "Close the door first."
She let out an exasperated chuckle. "You're really not going to leave until I do, huh?"
He shook his head with a grin.
"Fine, fine," she said, waving at him before closing the door.
Only when he heard the door click shut did Johnny finally turn and head toward his own practice room, glancing back once.
Inside the practice room, Nara let out a small chuckle, shaking her head at Johnny's protectiveness. She walked over to the keyboard in the corner, running her fingers gently over the keys before pressing a few, letting the soft notes fill the quiet room.
With a deep breath, she settled onto the bench, her fingers naturally finding a familiar melody. As she played, the world outside faded, leaving only her and the music.
Unbeknownst to her, just outside the door, Johnny lingered for a moment longer than necessary, listening to the faint sound of the keys before finally heading to his own practice.
As Nara continued playing, she found herself humming softly to the melody. The gentle sound of her voice blended with the keys, filling the empty room with warmth. She lost herself in the music, unaware that she had caught someone's attention.
The door creaked open slightly, and a curious pair of eyes peeked inside. A young boy, no older than fifteen, hesitated at the entrance, drawn in by the soothing melody. He recognized the song—one he had always loved—but the way she sang it made it feel different, almost personal.
Gathering his courage, he stepped inside. "That's beautiful," he said softly.
Startled, Nara's fingers slipped, creating a discordant note. She quickly turned to see a boy with round, curious eyes and a soft expression standing near the door.
"Oh—" She blinked, flustered. "I didn't hear you come in."
"Sorry," he said quickly, bowing slightly. "I didn't mean to interrupt. I just heard you singing and... it was really nice."
