Do I trigger something in you
Something you don't like to see
Do I trigger the mean you
To be nicer to people
Do I trigger the oblivious you
To be more attentive to others
Do I trigger the selfish you
To treat better those that stayed
Do i trigger the greedy you
To remember the principle of equity
Do I trigger the old school you
To embrace listening objectively
Especially to people below you

Then I like that trigger
One that aims at showing you
To never ignore anyone
I like the feeling of an underdog
One that you once underestimated
Yet as it turns out, has reset you
Reset your moral compass
Your principles, actions, your faith

Do I trigger your young self
One that never spoke
Even when she wanted to
Do I remind you to be careful
Especially when helping people
Do i trigger your weak self
One that see's strength
Where it expected you to fold
Do i trigger your lazy self
To get up and actually work for it

Then I love being that trigger
You should be proud
That I am what the universe sent
This way you'll turn to the wall
And repent for being a supplanter
Grooming your horns so high
Forgetting that Grace found you
Because you were what was available

You forgot about humility
You forgot about mercy
You forgot about Grace
The one that carried you
When no one believed you can
