Y/N swallows hard, bringing a shaky hand up to feel his heart pounding in his chest.

"You think it's gone?" Kenji dares to whisper.

Just as the words fall from Kenji's mouth, something slams against the wall behind them, which turns out to be glass. It's the same mirror as before. The one Kenji had punched when he found out about Brooklyn.

The four of them scramble to get up, darting for the door and running out of the room. They round a sharp corner, sprinting through the dark hallways once again.

As they run, they spot a small light down the hall, recognizing it as Zayna's phone as they get closer.

"RUN!" Sammy cries as they sprint towards the rest of the group, the Baryonyx right behind them.

"Geba, get away from there!" Zayna shouts to her dino as he tries to fight off an Atrociraptor.

Geba listens, running behind them as the two dinosaurs chase after them now. They're quick to stop at a dead end, the concrete wall leaving them with nowhere to run. The two predators corner them, stalking forward slowly.

They dinosaurs only stop when a loud, high pitched whirring rings through the halls, causing the creatures to squeal in distress before returning to their objective.

The group presses against the wall, trying to stay as far back as possible. Zayna grips onto Geba and Y/N stands in front of her, trying to shield her from the inevitable attack.

Just as the Baryonyx prepares to rush them, the fire alarm begins to sound. Flashing lights blare and a loud ringing noise echoes through the hallways.

The blind Baryonyx flails around, its heightened senses leaving it sensitive to sound. It bangs its head against the wall and the Atrociraptor scampers off, leaving the group with an escape.

"Let's go!" Darius urges as they dart past the distressed Baryonyx.

As they sprint through the hallways, Kenji slows down, causing Y/N and Ben to do the same.

"This way!" He urges, heading down a separate hall than the others.

Y/N only thinks for a moment before following him, figuring it's too late to catch up with his other friends now.

The three men zip down the hall, Kenji leading the way. They spot Brooklyn and another woman leaving the bunker through a back door and heading for a black van. Kenji speeds up, rushing in and climbing into a car as they dart off.

Y/N and Ben hesitantly get in as well, Kenji speeding forward as soon as they shut the door. He zooms after the black van with determination, not wanting to let them get away.

They pass through the farm, spotting their friends as they roll by. Kenji picks up speed as they start to lose sight of the van. The dirt on the road picks up under their tires, leaving a foggy mist in their wake.

Ben gasps as they zoom by a sign for the nearest airport, "They're heading to the airport! We gotta--"

"Uh-uh." Kenji grips the wheel, "You don't get to talk."

"Kenji, there's--"

"How about everybody shuts up and lets me drive!?" Kenji huffs, turning to look at Y/N in the back seat.

When he turns back around, he notices what Y/N had been trying to warn him about. There's a large Stego in the middle of the road, blocking the path. Kenji tries to swerve around it, but he drifts right into a tree, crashing the car.

He looks up at the wrecked car and slams his hands on the wheel with a frustrated shout as Brooklyn and the Broker get away.

Kenji leaps out of the car, sprinting down the street and trying to chase after the van.

"KENJI!?" Ben shouts after him, struggling to slip free from the wrecked car.

"Jesus fu--" Y/N runs his hands down his face, "Let's go!" He jumps from the car and runs after Kenji, pushing to keep up.

Just as he rounds the corner, a jeep pulls up and their friends pile out. Ben skids to a stop in the dirt and turns around.

"Darius! Come on, this way!" Ben calls out to them.

He and Y/N sprint down the dirt path, calling out to Kenji as they run. They lose sight of him as he turns into the airport lot, assumably trying to get to Brooklyn.

They sprint in after him, coming to a stop when they see him standing there outside a private jet, gripping onto Brooklyn's arm. She holds the crate of eggs but neither of them speak. The others catch up soon enough, coming to stand beside Ben and Y/N.

They all stare Brooklyn down, hoping she'll stop, hoping she'll stay. Anything. But Brooklyn pulls away. She wrenches her wrist from Kenji's hand and turns away, taking the eggs with her. That's when Y/N notices it. Her arm. Brooklyn's missing a hand on one arm, and he can only wonder what it's from.

"Brooklyn?" Kenji's voice comes out a desperate plea.

"I'm not coming with you." She states coldly, heading for the private plane.

"No..." Kenji steps back.

"What?" Sammy barely manages a squeak.

"We're not leaving without you!" Darius pushes.

"I'm not the same Brooklyn you knew." Brooklyn shakes her head, "I have a job to finish."

With these simple words she steps onto the plane, never sparing her friends even a glance.

"Wait!" Ben steps forward before she's gone for good, "Please. Bumpy's egg." He pleads, tears forming in his eyes.

"It's in that case."

Brooklyn pauses a moment before slowly setting the case down and taking out the egg. She turns towards them but doesn't look at anyone as she holds out Bumpy's egg. Kenji takes a shaky step forward, collecting the egg from her hands.

Brooklyn shuts the case, picks it back up, and enters the plane, the door shutting behind her. Her friends watch, hearts shattered as the plane rolls against the asphalt and soon takes off, shooting into the sky and leaving them there.

Alone.
