"She must be so scared!" Sammy frowns.

"Wait--" Y/N swallows hard with a realization, "Is that what you were trying to tell me back on the river?"

"I only just found out!" Ben cries, "I couldn't tell you all until I was sure."

Everyone begins arguing, their voices overlapping as they shout about Brooklyn, Ben getting caught in the center of it.

"Hey!" Darius shouts, finally cutting through the conversation, "We can fight over what should've happened later."

"But if Brooklyn told us to wait here, maybe she's meeting back up with us."

All the lights suddenly begin going out in rapid succession, leaving them in complete darkness within seconds.

Everyone scrambles around, trying to find their way in the pitch black of the hall.

"What is going on?" Zayna grips onto Geba as he whines.

Everyone begins speaking at once again, distressed and confused by the sudden darkness

"Shh!" Darius' voice suddenly rings out, "Listen."

They hear the soft clicking and growling of a large dinosaur as it makes its way through the hallways at a slow pace.

"Whatever it is can't see us, so just stay put, and it'll pass." Kenji whispers.

Zayna gasps, "Oh no... how did it get out of the pit?"

"How did what get out?" Ben shudders.

A shiver shoots down everyone's spines as the dinosaur gets closer, clicking its tongue and sniffing around.

"That Baryonyx is using those sounds to hunt us." Zayna explains, turning on her phone flashlight.

"Baryonyx!?" Kenji stiffens up.

"Which means we can't hide. We gotta move." Darius urges.

"Lead the way." He turns to Zayna.

The young girl nods and walks forward, leading the others along with her flashlight as they take careful, quiet steps.

They come to the end of a hallways and Y/N suddenly halts, putting a hand in front of Zayna to stop her steps as well. He takes her hand and slowly angles it upwards, towards the other end of the hall.

The flashlight reveals the Baryonyx standing there, looking for them. It's not just blind, it has no eyes. Like it'd been born without them, or they had been taken out somehow.

The others scream at the sight of the predator being so close by, causing it to lung forward. Geba, Zayna, Ben and Yaz all dart to the left, going down a different hallway. The other four are left with nowhere to go but back.

They no longer have the flashlight so all they can do is run and scream in the dark while the dinosaur sprints after them.

The four of them back into each other as the creature gets closer and closer. Y/N finds himself pinned against a wall as they press impossibly closer to avoid the jaw of the Baryonyx. He hastily runs his hands across the surface behind him, his fingers finding a door handle.

He twists the knob and falls backwards into the room, his friends all falling in after him. The Baryonyx tries to stick its head in, but Kenji quickly kicks the door shut, locking the monster out.

They scramble across the floor, backing themselves into a wall as the dinosaur slams its head against the door. Sammy grips onto Kenji and nobody moves as they catch their breath, the sounds of the intruding dino slowly fading.
