Chapter Thirteen

"No, I see a lot of myself in you."

"What do you mean?"

"I started with gangs when I was young, so I know how you feel, and I can tell you're a new member." I replied, to which he nodded.

"I only joined a month ago. I didn't want to but they forced me. They were going to have me as an insider to your gang."

"Is there any insiders at the moment?"

"No, me and a couple of other guys we're going to. But I'm telling you Jason, Danny is scared of you."

"I know he is."

"He's put extra security up so when you do go you're going to need 100 to 150 men. He know's your gang is bigger and better and I think even he knows that you're going to kill him."

"I will, now that he has Marissa and the kids."

"He's not harming them- he won't. That video was to try and scare you, but he has no intention of harming them."

"I know he won't, and he know's what will happen if he does. Listen Jason, I'm going to give you a choice here." I offered, as he nodded listening intently. "You seem to know a lot about what Danny will and won't do, don't you?"

"Yeah?" He trailed, his eyebrows furrowing together.

"I want you to help my gang." I stated, sitting opposite him. "I want you to help us with locations, what he'll be doing.." I trailed, "are you up for it?"

"You walk free." He was about to say something, but I cut him off, "with the risk of Danny's men coming to find you and killing you."

"Won't that happen if I join your gang?"

"I'll keep you safe, personally."

"What about Rogan and those other guys in there?"

"They'll be dead by the time we walk out of this room. So it's your choice Jason."

"I'll help you guys."

"Great." I smirked, standing up and leaving the room, motioning with my hand for Jason to follow. "All done boys?" I asked, peering my head into the room to find that not a single soul was alive.

"We couldn't get anything out of them boss."

"Jason's been great help. So great that he's now joining us to help find Marissa and the kids. Jason this is Ryan, Christian, Chaz, Jaden and Matty." I told him, pointing to each one of them as he gave them a small smile.

"So, back to Alex and then destroy the evidence?" I nodded and followed them back outside.

"I'll stay here with Jason and Matty." I said, holding the two of them back. The rest of the guys nodded and piled into the van, speeding off down the road to get some supplies from Alex, a previous member of the gang who can construct a bomb almost quicker than I can. "So have you had any training Jason?"

"Non at all. They were hoping that you would take me in and train me so that I could report back to them. Danny wanted to see how you train your men so that he could do the same." I looked over at Matty and saw he had a confused look on his face.

"Jason is new to the gang, they were going to make him become an insider for our gang."

"Danny wanted me to keep an eye on you all because he knows that you were all bigger, better and smarter than he was. Oh, and Jason, there's a camera at the back of the house which Danny can hack into, should I go disable it?"

"Matty will do it." I said.

"It's already done."

"Where's the camera then?"

"On the floor."

"Go get it." I mumbled.

"Sure boss." He replied, jogging away to the back of the house.

"Thanks for not killing me." Jason muttered as he kicked some stones beneath his feet.

"Truthfully, I usually would have, but I know how you feel because I started in this industry when I was young and it's pretty scary. Sometimes I wish I never got involved with it, and especially now that my families lives are in danger. Since you don't have the necessary training you won't be going out, you'll just be keeping us updated on Danny, and then you can walk."

"What do you mean walk?"

"Be free of all this gang stuff."

"What about you?"

"I got myself in a stupid position and I'm never going to be completely free of all of this." I laughed, but there was nothing funny about the situation what-so-ever. "I thought I had killed Danny, and the whole gang settled down for a while. I got married, had kids and everything was fine for a few years but Danny showed his face when we were on our family vacation to Canada."

"I hope they're back by Christmas." He said, but that was only a week away and even although I was doubtful, I was hopeful.

"I hope so too."
