(Reyaansh’s POV)
The city was alive with neon lights and the hum of restless engines. The night air was thick with the scent of rain on concrete, mingling with the distant aroma of street food and perfume from well-dressed strangers moving between bars and clubs. And then—she happened.
The door of Butter Chaos flew open, and Jia strode out like she owned the damn universe. Reyaansh hadn’t expected her ,not like this.
The woman who usually hid behind scrubs and gym shorts was now wrapped in a black bodycon dress that did no justice in pretending to be modest. The sleek fabric sculpted around her waist, clinging to her curves, the deep neckline teasing just enough to make a man’s thoughts go rogue . Her long legs , tonned stretched endlessly, her stride effortless as she walked towards the sleek black Audi parked at the curb, flipping her hair over her shoulder as if she hadn't just made half the street hold its breath.
Reyaansh didn’t realize he had leaned forward until Riaan let out a low whistle beside him.
"Damn," Riaan muttered, sipping his drink lazily. "She’s fucking beautiful."
Something slow and sharp twisted in Reyaansh’s gut. His grip on steering wheel tightened. FUCKING HELL..
Riaan was right.
Jia wasn’t just beautiful—she was devastating . and the worst part? She had no idea.
She wasn’t doing it for anyone , wasn’t looking around for validation. Wasn’t waiting for heads to turn.
She existed completely in her own orbit.., and for the first time in years, Reyaansh fucking hated that he wasn’t in it.
Then came Meher, all bright eyes and chaos, stepping beside Jia, shoving a phone into her purse.
"Jia, for fuck’s sake, hurry up! You’re already late."
Jia didn’t even look up, tossing her phone onto the dashboard as she slid into the driver’s seat. "I’m not late. My patience is running out."
Meher groaned. "It’s a date, not a goddamn heart surgery. Relax."
A date.
Something cold and sharp punched into Reyaansh’s chest, knocking the breath from his lungs.
Before he could even process it, before the word could fully settle in his mind, Jia revved the engine.
The Audi growled in response.
Then, with a violent purr, she tore out of the parking, tires screeching against the asphalt.
The streetlights caught against the windshield, her silhouette flashing through the tinted glass for a split second before the car drifted—a sharp, reckless turn that had onlookers cursing and stepping back.
Reyaansh’s lips parted .. Jia didn’t just drive fast. She drove like she was trying to outrun the world.
His jaw tightened.
"Holy fuck," Riaan chuckled, shaking his head. "She drives like goddamn storm".
No!! .. She drove like she wasn’t meant to be watched.
Like she didn’t give a fuck if someone was looking.
But she didn’t know someone was obsessing over every move , unaware she had just left a man behind who couldn’t take his fucking eyes off her.
Reyaansh stayed still, his gaze locked on the empty road long after her car had disappeared.
"Bhai," Riaan’s voice was amused, teasing. "You sure you don’t want to follow?"
