When I arrived, I saw one of my fellow elites there. His name is Na'rainde. He was actually a youngblood in the original clan I was apart of. We did our initiation hunt together. He was interested in becoming an elite as well and I was happy to see him become one after me.
" Didn't expect to see you here." I said as I leaned up against one of the supply boxes.
" It's good to see you too. You getting some more gear?" He asked. I nodded. " Yeah. The stuff that Wolf had is fine and all but some of it could use some upgrades." I said. " Good thing they got new plasma casters in. Mine was starting to break." Na'rainde said. As we looked through the gear, a pack of newly blooded warriors with their trophies walked by. " Isn't that A'ni-de's clan?" I asked. " Yeah. Looks like they just got back from their initiation hunt." Na'rainde said. The young males looked proud but I knew they also felt arrogant. Usually when a young male returns from their first hunt, they feel like they can take on anyone and anything. I've seen my fair share of young males to know that there are few who never feel this way after their first hunt. " I bet half of them will be dead in the next week." I said. " I remember being like that after my first hunt. Though, I remember you being calm." Na'rainde said. " That's because I had already fought the Kainde and survived. I knew exactly whatthey were capable of and I knew to never think that a hunt was going to be easy." I said. As we observed the newly blooded warriors leaving the ship, I noticed that one of them was carrying two trophies instead of one. " Two to his name. Impressive for someone on their first hunt." I said. " Oh him? That's Yeyinde. He's the son and grandson of Leaders. I expected him to survive because of is background. I heard that as a suckling, he got into a fight with another male suckling because the male stared at him longer than he deemed necessary." Na'rainde said.
" Arrogance can only lead to downfall." I said. Na'rainde agreed. As I kept my gaze fixed on Na'rainde, I noticed something different about him. " His eyes." I said. " What?" Na'rainde asked. " His eyes hold sadness. Though he's trying not to show it." I said. " Sadness?" Na'rainde asked.
I nodded. " I can pick out hidden emotions better since I'm human. Did something happen on this hunt?" I asked." Not sure. But it's also not our place to ask about it." Na'rainde said. " Yeah. I guess you're right." I said. I then gathered up my gear and left with Na'rainde.
Time Skip....
A few years have gone by and I've made quite the name for myself. I've been on countless hunts and even got a chance to fight and kill a Predalien. After that, the others started to take notice of me. While it is seen as taboo for a Yautja to engage in an intimate relationship with a human, I find myself getting pursued by some of the males. I think it's only for my status as an elite though. None of them ever paid attention to me until my name was known. Even though they make advances on me and try to impress me with their skills, I always turn them away. I am not some prize to be won. Curently I was gearing up to go on a joint mission with some elites and some leaders. The leaders that will be joining us are prospective candidates for being an elite.
" Even though these potential candidates are leaders they can be as arrogant as the youngbloods." I said to Na'rainde as we put on our gear. " I wonder who I'll be paired with. I hear that there's actually a female looking to become an elite." He said. " Hehe, you looking for another mate?" I asked. " Of course I am. A Yautja has to do what a Yautja has to do to keep his bloodline alive." He said. " Can't stand that aspect of you guys." I said under my breath. Soon enough, the possible candidates arrived. I looked around at them. All of these Yautja have seen many hunts and have fought for their right to stand here before us. As I looked through the candidates, I recognized a familiar face. In the group was the yautja from many years ago, Yeyinde. " He's grown...." I said to myself. I looked him over to notice his battle scars. One of the spikes on his mandible was broken off. " Broken Tusk.....Dachande." I said. " What was that?" Na'rainde asked. " Yeyinde is apart of this bunch." I said. " Huh? Oh yeah, he is. i hear people call him Dachande behind his back because of the broken mandible." Na'rainde said. Soon enough, the Ancient presiding over this hunt arrived and we all bowed to show him respect.
