"I-... I don't know, Rina." Her voice was filled with confusion. "The last time I talked to her.. she told me I liked someone else this whole time, but I still can't come to terms with it..."

Karina watched as Chaewon stayed still in her seat. It was obvious that she was trying to process things in her mind.

"I'll ask again: do you still like Minju?"

Chaewon furrows her brows.

"Just think, Chae. Think about what you feel for Minju now. Who is she to you? Do you still yearn for her? Are you still waiting for her?"

This time, Chaewon does what Karina is asking her to do.

Chaewon thinks about Minju and her small gestures. Minju's actions that made Chaewon feel so warm. All the charm in her, her smile, her welcoming nature... her warm hugs.

Her red hair-

And with a sudden thought that Chaewon had subconsciously thought of, Huh Yunjin's face flashes in her head.

Yunjin's small gestures... Yunjin's actions that made Chaewon feel so warm it was almost scary to her.

And suddenly all of the things that Minju used to do were now replaced with what Yunjin always does for her.

Chaewon doesn't acknowledge it, but there are times that she sees it. It was hard to avoid. Yunjin's actions were like a sudden beam of light that came out of nowhere, blinding you momentarily, and as you recover from it, you start looking for where it came from.

Minju was.

Yunjin is.

That was the easiest answer Chaewon could think of.

It must have been easy for Karina, too. She already knows the answer even if Chaewon refuses to.

"I'm excited for the play," Karina says, switching topics completely.

Chaewon is slightly relieved. She no longer needs to think about how to answer Karina.

"Me too." She says plainly.

"How are you doing without Yunjin?" The other girl said Yunjin's name so smoothly that Chaewon almost didn't feel the subtle pinch in her heart.

"I guess it's hard? I'm not really sure. To me, it just feels incomplete without a partner." The short-haired girl turns and meets Karina's teasing eyes, accompanied by a teasing smile.

"A partner onstage!" Karina laughed as Chaewon was quick to clear things up.

"I never said anything."

"Yeah, right..."

It had been almost a week since the basketball game. The boys won after the women's basketball game. SCE had won both games.

But unlike the football team, SCE Academy didn't hold any celebrations. It was probably because of what happened to Yunjin.

It really isn't the right time to celebrate when Yunjin just got injured. She is still nowhere to be seen.

Chaewon doesn't show it, but she's as worried as everyone else.

Maybe even more worried than everyone else.

"What will happen to the play if Yunjin doesn't recover fast?"

Chaewon sighs, "Well... they cancel everything."

She's upset about the thought, but what else can they do? They have no more time to find another replacement. They have no more time to rehearse.

Yunjin was their last hope.
