And now that she got injured, they no longer have any.
At least they try to keep a positive attitude towards the situation. They all believe that Yunjin will be fine, but if not, everyone agrees that it won't all go to waste.
Maybe they can still do the play at a later date.
Maybe before the school year ends.
Chaewon looks around the auditorium. The stage looks finished already, with the props placed in their respective positions.
It looks magical. There were life-like vines all hanging on the walls.
They made a makeshift stone wall for the background as well. It gave that castle-like look to the set.
The lights were of specific colors as well. Not too bright and not too dim.
Chaewon could almost see herself performing in front and dancing around the stage elegantly.
Delivering her lines without a problem. In her mind, everything will play out smoothly.
And there goes Yunjin's face again, flashing in her mind.
She feels this cold, refreshing breeze hit her face as soon as she sees Yunjin's face flash in her mind. It felt calming like she had been transported to a different place.
And there, she could almost see herself dancing with Yunjin onstage and dancing a waltz that was a part of their play.
And in Chaewon's mind, it looked good. It looked perfect.
It felt good seeing that imagery.
Maybe this is what Sieun and the others see when they say that she and Yunjin work well together. That their chemistry is through the roof.
Maybe this is why they begged Yunjin to be the one to replace Jaeyun.
Maybe this is the vision they see whenever they see both Chaewon and Yunjin onstage.
Maybe they were right.
And with her imagination, she almost feels lonely that Yunjin isn't around.
Or maybe that's what she has been feeling from the very start...
Maybe Minju was right.
And maybe-
Maybe this time, Chaewon agrees.
She opens her mouth to say a word as she stares down on the stage. She pauses for a second before gathering enough courage to mumble out the words;
"I miss having her around."
—
"I find this a bit... too much," Yunjin said as she pointed out the bandages wrapped around her arm and leg. She hasn't been moving much.
Not because she still can't move properly but because her parents and cousin have been keeping an eye on her. They keep telling her to just lie down and do nothing. They would panic whenever they saw Yunjin trying to move.
Don't get her wrong, she appreciates the concern, but it's not like she broke her bones into tiny specs the size of dust particles. Her bones are fine! She even thinks she's healed now. She can move her toes and fingers freely without feeling any pain.
Yunjin honestly thinks she can be free of the bandages by now. It's been more than a week, and she believes her injury wasn't that bad anyway.
"Too much? Yunjin, you scared the crap out of the whole academy! Even the other students from ACE Academy freaked out when they saw what happened to you!" Kazuha placed her phone down on Yunjin's table with too much force. Yunjin flinched at the sound.
