Noelene, Travis, and Nora have been best friends since high school, their bond unshaken even through college. Noelene herself is in a happy relationship with her long term boyfriend, Nash Spencer, but everything changes when he's sent to jail. Noelene eventually moves on and starts to feel okay, but once again, tables turn when Nash is found dead-an apparent suicide. His final note blames her, sending her spiraling into guilt and confusion. To help her escape the weight of her grief, Travis and Nora plan a trip with their old high school friends to Noelene's family beach house, hoping a change of scenery will bring her peace.
