Chapter 20

Jack's POV

The next day I wake up find Jamie and Hiccup still asleep. Jamie still laying with me and Hiccup asleep with his phone in hand.

I slowly move Jamie off of me and get up. I stretch as I realize I've had on the same clothes for two days.

I look at the door and see new files in the slot. I walk over and pick up the file. It's Jamie's. Why is it here?

I open the file and start reading.

Oh my god.

This has been the best few days of my life and it keeps getting better and better.

I read it again.

"Jamie Adams has successfully completed chemotherapy treatment and is no longer diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer."

I had to read it at least three times.

I can't believe it.

I can't believe it!!

Jamie doesn't have cancer anymore!

Oh my god.

" Hiccup! Jamie!"

The rollover and grunt. Not waking up.

I run over to Hiccup and shake him silly.

"Jack what the hell?!"

I laugh it off.

I pick Jamie up and put her on my back.

"Jaaaack! I was asleep."

"Guess what guys?!" I ask

"What?" They say in unison completely irritated at me.

"Jamie's cancer is gone."

I throw hiccup the files and he starts reading. His eyes light up.

Jamie's squealing as I run her around on my back like Superman.

She is Superman though. She kicked cancer's butt.

"Jack! Does that mean I can go home now?!"

"Duh!"

I take Jamie out the door into the hall.

Nurses and staff are talking.

"Everyone! I beat cancer!" Jamie chants.

They look up and cheer.

They cheer and congratulate her.

I have never seen her so happy.

I turn and see Hiccup standing in the door way. Smiling and shaking his head.

He's never been so happy.

Best day ever.
