— i'm wrapped around your finger and i can't stop
STEP ONE: INCREASE PHYSICAL CONTACT.
Before school, Joshua had to literally repeat affirmations to himself in order to gain the courage to actually leave his house. The group chat Jeonghan had created named 'MinShua 4 Ever' woke him up from his (not) peaceful slumber. Being honest, he wasn't sure that he got a wink of sleep, unable to stop thinking about the chaotic plan he was about to embark on.
He wasn't granted a moment of peace during the beginning of the school day either. Anytime he came close to Minji, he could see Jeonghan in the corner of his eye leaning towards than expectantly. If he wasn't so reluctant to draw attention to himself, he would have hit Jeonghan over the head with his textbook.
Lunchtime was his moment of peace. Well, sort of peace. Minji had asked if they could revisit something which she hadn't understood in the lesson previous. The difference was, this time, she had asked Joshua for help on something which wasn't English; unknown territory for the pair.
Jeonghan nearly fell of his seat when he heard the interaction, earning a hard stare from Hana in front of him.
Currently, Minji was flipping through her Chemistry notes, completely focused as she attempted to solve an equation. Joshua being the (not) king of subtlety was nervously fidgeting beside her.
Once he had sat down, Joshua slightly shuffled closer to Minji, after being reminded by the very-official looking sticky note in his planner.
Okay. Casual. Natural. Normal. I sit next to her all the time. I can do this. Just... touch her shoulder or something.
It was safe to say Joshua was freaking out.
He reached over to hand her a pen she had dropped earlier, his fingers purposely brushing against her hand longer than necessary.
Having completely forgotten about the pen, Minji looked up a Joshua a little. "Thanks?"
"Yeah! No problem. Just... helping?" Joshua said a little too quickly.
"Okay," Minji narrowed her eyes before shifting back to her notes. "I was a little confused about this one."
At first, Joshua completely forgot everything he was coached to do, immediately helping Minji. It took him at least thirty seconds to realise this was a perfect opportunity.
As he leaned in, he placed his hand lightly on the back of Minji's chair, his fingers 'accidently' grazing her shoulder.
"Are you okay? You keep... hovering." Minji tilts her head a little, almost as if she's trying to diagnose him.
