After so many tantrums, arguments, and sarcastic remarks, both of them finally agreed to work together. However, their teamwork looked less like a collaboration and more like a battle of egos.

I had inspected every corner of this house, every nook and cranny. If there was anything suspicious here, it would have revealed itself by now. But no, this place was clean. Too clean.
This couldn't be the crime scene. "The murder hasn't happened here," I concluded, straightening up. "Nothing escapes Officer Meerab's eyes, after all."
Satisfied with my observation, I turned towards Abhay Roy, who stood leaning casually against the wall as if he were my boss. His smug expression was irritating, to say the least.
"We need to go somewhere, lawyer sahab," I said, crossing my arms.
He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Finally figured it out, did you?"
I shot him a glare. "Are you coming or not?"
He smirked and pushed off the wall. "Lead the way, officer. I'm just here to observe."
"Good," I said, brushing past him. "Try to keep up this time."
