He looked at you with a faint blush, letting out a soft chuckle, "nice to see that you're already back to normal, (L/n)" he said
"Wait! If I can call you by your first name then you have to use mine too!" You pointed to the boy, "(Y/n)!"
The lighthearted moment between you was cut short by a knocking of the door. Once it opened you saw a detective that began walking into your hospital room,
"Glad to see you're awake Miss (L/n)... if you wouldn't mind I'd like to get a statement and report from you about the incident when you're ready," the man said calmly.
You tensed up at the thought of explaining everything that happened, having to relive that experience.
"I- I understand," you said as Todoroki sensed your unease, reaching for your hand to comfort you.
"Would you mind giving us some privacy young ma-" the detective started
"I'm not leaving." The red and white head cut in coldly.
"Uh- can he stay... please..." you asked the detective politely, who only nodded in understanding after seeing your close proximity
"Alright then," he said

After a while of reliving the events and answering questions, the detective was finally done with his work.
"Thank you for being so cooperative, I understand how difficult this whole situation must've been for you..." the man said
You nodded as he got up to leave the room, allowing you to let out a sigh of relief. It was all over... you were saved and alive.
To make things better you and Todoroki were something now. But what exactly did that mean? You both liked each other, that much was obvious... so why was this so confusing?
You spent a few hours thinking about those questions, the dual quirked boy staying with you until your family arrived to take you home. He simply rested his head on your hospital bed, holding you hand with one while the other scrolled his phone
"Hey Shoto...?" You began timidly, the boy hummed in response looking at you instead of his screen, "what exactly are we now? I mean we both like each other... so are we dating now?" You asked
The topic made you anxious. Despite your popularity in middle school you had never actually been in a relationship. Sure you liked people but they were never serious crushes like this.
"Well it was explained to me that when 2 people like each other, it usually means they are together... so... ," he said sitting up and looking into your eyes nervously.
The way he looked at you seemed to tell a story. One of yearning and longing for love and care. There was still a lot to learn about him... and you were willing to walk that road with him when he was ready.
