Michael and Ashton were as bad as me, but we were all pretty tipsy or a bit drunk right now. Calum laughed at me as I missed one more time. "I hate this game!" I pouted, drowning a drink I was holding in my hand because Ashton had thrown the ball into one of our cups. Calum smirked. "You suck, but it's alright." he said.

Calum and I won the game suprisingly, but that was just because Ashton and Michael sucked too. I looked around the room to see if Luke was anywhere to be seen, but he wasn't so I just shrugged it off and took another cup.

Michael came over to me to grab another drink. "So, you've been hanging a lot with Luke lately." he stated, smirking. I rolled my eyes and knew he was going to tease me. "Shut up Clifford! We're just friends." I stated. He giggled, shaking his head. "Well I see how you two always glance at each other when you think no one is watching.". I raised an eyebrow at me, feeling somewhat happy. "He glances at me?" I asked suprised. "Well duh, isn't it obvious? Didn't you notice how his eyes were glued on you when he first came over to you today?" Michael slurred. I shrugged. "I didn't notice that." I mumbled awkwardly.

Michael was drunk so I didn't know if he really meant it. After some more minutes he started talking about cats and how cute they were. I excused myself after some minutes because I still didn't see Luke so I decided to try and find him. I didn't know if that would be a mistake or whatever, but I just needed to know that he was okay.

I had never been to Luke's house before so I didn't really know where to search for him, but I walked up the stairs. First I walked into a bathroom, but regretted it when I saw two people making out, I apologised and they were quite nice and told me it was okay though. I then walked into a room that was locked and then to another.

I nervously opened the door and peeked my head in. I saw Luke sitting on a bed and thought that this was probably his room. He was alone though and he didn't look very happy. He was holding a bottle of alcohol in his hand which made me think back to the party at Harry's where we almost kissed.

"Luke?" I asked, walking over to him. He just stared at the wall, ignoring me for some time. He looked very sad and lost in thoughts. I was quite concerned to be honest. "Do you want me to leave?" I asked quietly, making his head shoot up. "N-no." he whispered, hugging his knees. "What's wrong?" I asked him and he just snorted. "Everything.".

He was quiet again and I didn't know what to say. I shakily brought my hand to his own and intertwined our fingers, not sure if it was clever of me. Luke didn't do anything though, he just stared down at our hands and frowned. "I hate your sister so much." he blurted out, taking a sip from the alcohol. "What do you mean?" I asked. Luke scoffed. "I fucking hate her. She's just bossing me around and telling me what to do. Do you know what she's been keeping away from me?" he snapped.

I noticed how tense he was and his eyes were glossy. His hair was in a mess and he was biting down on his bottom lip. "N-no." I stuttered. Luke sighed loudly as he ran his free hand through his hair. "She fucking cheated on me, Vic. She cheated. That's what she's been doing whenever she ditches me and whenever she's at a party." he whispered, his voice now shaking as his lip started to tremble.

I didn't know what to say when tears started falling down Luke's face. He looked so vulnerable, so hurt. "Are you sure?" I whispered. Luke rolled his eyes. "Yeah I'm fucking sure. She was at the toilet when I noticed her phone buzzing and I wasn't supposed to look, but it was a bit hard not to look when the phone was right in front of my face and I caught a guys name on the text and he was telling her he missed her so I asked her about it and she didn't even feel guilty. She told me straight out.I broke up with her and she wasn't even sad." Luke sobbed. I frowned, wrapping my arms around his waist. "I hate her so much." he sobbed into my shoulder and I sighed.

Luke sighed loudly again and stood up. "I need to take off this costume, this party sucks." he muttered as he started undressing. I knew Luke wasn't sober anymore, but I was a bit suprised when he pulled off his costume and stood in front of me in only boxers. I couldn't help but stare at his toned chest and his broad shoulders. He was so handsome and he didn't even know it.

Luke stumbled over to his closet and put on some sweats and a hoodie. "I look like a mess. I am a mess." he sobbed and I sighed, patting the bed so he would sit down again. He frowned, but made his way over to me.

I cupped his face and stared seriously into his eyes. "This is going to be okay, Luke. You're strong and you don't need Claire in your life. She doesn't deserve you, you deserve so much better and you'll find someone better. I promise you." I explained to him, trying to calm him down.

Luke's eyes softened as he leaned his forehead against mine. "You're too nice to me, Vic." Luke whispered, his breath tickling my face. I noticed how close we were and my heart started beating fastly again. I couldn't stop my eyes from trailing down to his lips and before I knew it he was leaning closer in.

Maybe it was the fact that we were both a bit drunk or maybe it was because I was just dying to know how his lips felt on mine, but I didn't pull away when his lips brushed mine. Nothing was going to interrupt us this time and when Luke's soft lips touched my own, I knew I couldn't stop. My hands trailed up to his hair and he pulled me closer to him as our lips moved gently together.

My eyes closed and I couldn't believe that this was happening. I would lie if I didn't say that I had thought about this before, but never had I thought it would feel this perfect. Luke's lips moved so gently and so caring against mine. It wasn't like his usual kisses with Claire when they just hungrily kissed each other. This was so much different, so much more gentle and loving and I couldn't help but smile.

Suddenly Luke pulled away and looked at me with a suprised look. "Oh god, I'm so sorry. We shouldn't have kissed. I'm so sorry, Vic." he apologised as he stood up from the bed. I frowned as I saw him start to freak out.  I felt my heart break at the sight of him freaking out, but I knew how wrong it was of us to actually kiss. Luke was hurt, he didn't think straight. He was also a bit drunk and I knew I wasn't sober either, but I shouldn't have kissed him back. Hell, he had just broken up with his girlfriend who was my sister, he wasn't supposed to kiss me and I knew it was a mistake even though it felt so right. It would have been selfish of me to make a scene because of a kiss when he obviously was a mess right now.

"Luke." I whispered, standing up again. Luke had a deep frown on his face and I just wanted it to disappear. "It's alright. It was just a kiss, just a drunken mistake. It's not a big deal either. Right now we just have to make you move on from the relationship, but I think you should get some sleep, okay?" I smiled, as I walked him over to the bed. He stumbled a bit, but laid down quickly.

Luke stared at me for some seconds and sighed. "I'm sorry again. I didn't mean to kiss you." he whispered. "It's alright, Luke." I smiled. He locked eyes with me and grabbed my hand. "Can you just stay here? I just don't want to be alone right now." he mumbled and I saw how sad he was. I nodded, squeezing his hand. "Of course." I whispered, laying down beside him. He gave me a small smile as he scooted closer to me.

I knew he just needed to be with someone right now, so when he wrapped his arms around me, I decided to not think about how that made me feel. I needed to think about Luke. I wasn't going to be selfish.

Luke had just broken up with Claire who had been cheating on him and even though it was killing me that we just kissed and Luke seemed to regret it, I knew I couldn't think about it now. Everything wasn't about me and I had to understand that Luke needed friends right now and I was going to be his friend. "Thanks, Vic. I'm so happy that I got to know you." Luke stated, nuzzling into the crook of my neck as he closed his eyes.
