Ashley Hayes is the main protagonist of the story. She is intelligent, athletic, kind-hearted and simply beautiful. Being the daughter of famous scientist Jenny Hayes, she receives a lot of criticism for having a lot of money, despite being highly down to earth. She has emerald green eyes and light orange hair, which easily catches the attention of many.
During high school, Ashley is bullied often, which lowers her self-esteem. Other than being shy at times while at school, she is usually quite confident. Unlike other bully victims at school, Ashley is usually able to confront her bullies or talk back to them.
During school, Ashley doesn't have a specific career in mind that she wants to pursue. She finds that her secret of being half Ignacendian may make it difficult for her to find a job.
