"One more hour," I groaned as I tightened my ponytail.

"Lucky, I've got two," My co worker, Lana, said to me.

She sent me a motivating smile before disappearing into the kitchen.

Sighing, I gazed at my shoes as I ambled over to my next customer's table.

How do black shoes go grey so easily?

"Hello, are you ready t-"
I stopped as I lifted my head up and saw Luke sat on the chair.

You have to be kidding me.

"Oh my god, you work here!" He laughed, putting the menu on the table.

I hated him so much why did he have to be there?

"No way!" I said sarcastically and leant against the side of the booth.

"Hey, I'm not the one who's a waitress," Luke sniggered.

"What's wrong with being a waitress?"

He's was so rude I just wanted to punch him but I'd get fired.

I sat down opposite him and lifted my leg onto the seat.

"My mum just went to the toilet so you might want to move," He told me indignantly.

"Having dinner with mummy?" I teased as I tied up my laces.

"Shut up. You're supposed to serve me, waitress," He snapped.

"Condescending isn't your forte," I remarked, getting back up and rolling my eyes.

I flipped over my notepad and clicked my pen and gestured for him to tell me what he wants.

"I'll have two blow jobs." He smirked

All I wanted to do was throw the notepad at him.
But I can't get fired. I can't get fired.

"Do you want a bigger dick with that?"

Luke glowered at me but didn't say anything back.

"Phoebe, hey," Liz greeted me a few seconds later as she took her seat.

"Hi Liz."

Unlike Luke, Liz is polite and kind.
I feel bad that she has to put up with him.

How does she do it?

"I didn't know you worked here."

Luke slouched in his seat, clearly annoyed by our conversation.

"I only started a few days ago."
I toyed with my pen.

"Well, I think it's great. I've been trying to get Luke to get a job so he can buy a car and I can stop driving him everywhere. But he won't. He's always in his room doing typical teenage boy stuff."

What? Jerking off and playing video games?

Luke's eyes widen at what Liz was telling me.

I bit my lip to stifle my laugh.

"What like?" I asked, biting harder on my lip.

She frowned and looked at Luke.
Luke looked completely petrified.
"Well, a few days ago I walked in on hi-"

"Can we order now?" Luke snapped.

I chuckle and Liz nods, smiling at her son.

After writing down their order I turn and walk towards the kitchen.

"Mum, could you be more embarrassing?" I heard Luke say and I laughed to myself.

-

As their order was being made, I served other tables and continuously spotted Luke looking at me in the corner of my eye.

Every time I glanced over he quickly diverts his gaze.

It was probably nothing but it was just weird.

-

I placed the plate in front of Luke and
I received a fake smile from him.

"Thank you," Liz said to me as I give her her meal and I know she meant it on Luke's behalf, too.

I sent her a appreciative smile and walked towards the toilets.

Twenty five more minutes and then I could go home.

After splashing my face with water several times to attempt to wake myself up a bit, I exited the toilets.

As I leave I bump into someone.

"Oh, it's you."
Luke looked down at me and smirked, stepping back and running a hand through his blonde hair.

"Can you never speak to my mum again?" He grunted as he leant against the wall.

"I want more leverage on you. All I know is that she walked in on-"

He placed his hand over my mouth to muffle the rest of my sentence.

I licked his hand and he quickly moved his hand off it.

Luke's face turned into a grimace and he rubbed his hand on his jeans.

I laughed. "Is that the hand you-"

"Don't say another word about it," He snapped.

I raised my arms in mock defence and I tried and make some sort of deal with him.

"Can you at least be nicer to me?"

"Fine," He said reluctantly.
