"Mum, hyung is going to be bored."

"I guess people don't play board games anymore right," Nair smiled sadly looking at Junya. "Forget I said anything-"

"I haven't had a game night in a long time," Raphael beamed. "I know you haven't suggested playing if you don't have uno. I'm going to whoop everyone."
...

"UNO out."

"Fuck," Jaehyun swore throwing down his cards angrily. "It's your fifth time! Are you cheating?"

"No sir," Raphael smiled slyly, collecting the money on the middle of the floor. "The UNO cards just like me. It's hard to compete with a chosen one."

"If I figure out you're cheating, you'll be dealt with."

"He's joking," Junya quickly assured with a nervous smile. "Geez dad don't say scary things! Shall we play something else?"

"It's okay, uncle isn't used to losing, he'll be aight. It's growing pains."

"Brat."

Raphael only smiled brightly in response to irritate the man more.

Junya's dad reminded him of grumpy older guys. It made sense because his wife was so calm. He thought they nicely balanced each other out.

He might have been grumpy playing the game but, he didn't leave at all. He also softly smiled every time Junya or his wife said UNO. He seemed like a good guy to Raphael.

He just had fun riling the older man up.

"What do you want to play now Junya? You got good games on your PlayStation or they're trash?"

"Oh you can choose- I can use the downstairs TV right?"

"Jaehyun and I are going to leave you kids so the TV is all yours."

"Alex will be within an earshot though," Jaehyun added with a look towards Junya.

He wasn't slow.

His son was blushing way too much and acting too giddily to be left alone with Raphael.

"Jae, they're in the house," Nair complained sulking at her partner, "why are you being like this? Alex doesn't need to watch them."

"Sweetheart, trust me."

"Sorry Junya, just bear with it okay?"

"It's okay mom," he assured with a small smile. He wasn't making a fuss because he knew Alex wasn't going to bother to watch them. He was probably going to go and eat snacks in the kitchen whilst watching videos on his phone as soon as Junya's parents were out of sight.
...

Raphael missed holding a controller.

He had no time to play games in college. And he had more essential things to spend money on rather than a console. Like actual food.

But, when he was younger, he was a gamer.

If it wasn't hard to make money in the field, he would have become a professional gamer.
