Chapter 10 – Press Conference

Kinabukasan…

“ANO ITO? Care to explain?” Nakakatakot talaga si Manager Julie kapag galit. You know why is she mad?

Headline #01: Off Limits’ Dylan Joshua Rosales and Eminence’s Ryan Renz Fernandez caught fighting. Why?

Headline #02: Off Limits’ Dylan Joshua Rosales and Glaiza Anne Ty are together?

Headline #03: Off Limits’ Arthur Rafael Fuentabella caught with a non-showbiz girl. Who might this be?

“Ryan Renz Fernandez is my ex po.” Sabi ko kay Manager Julie.

“Then?”

“Nakipagbreak po siya because my father left us.Pera ang habol niya sakin. Then we met him yesterday at the party. Minamaliit niya ako then Dylan just saved me.” Sabi ko ng nakayuko. Ayaw ko ng gulo pero anong nangyari? Hay.

“Miss Julie, there would be a press conference at 9 am. Dylan, Glaiza and Arthur must be present. Thank you.”

“Narinig niyo naman iyon diba?” Umalis na si Manager Julie. Halatang galit siya sa nangyari kagabi. Well, unexpected naman kasi diba?

“Kat, paano na iyan?”

“I have a plan!” Napatinginkaming lahat kay Kat.Ano nanaman ang balak niya? It better be good.

“Don’t’ worry, no lies would be happening.”

“Eh? No lies? Paano iyon?”

“Hep! No talking. Let’s start with headline one – ‘Off Limits’ Dylan Joshua Rosales and Eminence’s Ryan Renz Fernandez caught fighting. Why?’ ************************.

Headline 3…hmmm – ‘Off Limits’ Arthur Rafael Fuentabella caught with a non-showbiz girl. Who might this be?’************************”

Lahat kami sumangayonsaideya ni Kat. For the first time, nakatulong siya nangsobra. Hindi naman kami magsisinungaling eh kasi iyon talaga ang nangyari pero hindi lang namin sinabi ang detailed story.

9 am.

“Today is the press conference for Eminence’s Ryan Fernandez, Off Limits’ Dylan Rosales and Arthur Fuentabella and Glaiza Anne Ty. Eminence’s Ryan would like to apologize to you all for he can’t come at the moment.” Tumatakaslang iyon eh.

“Why is that Glaiza Anne Ty together with Dylan Rosales that night? May kinalaman ba ito sa away na nangyari?”

Tumingin ako kay Dylan at tumango naman siya.

“Yes, may kinalaman po ito sa nangyari nung gabing iyon. She was being insulted by Ryan for some past reasons and I was kind enough to save her. Why not naman di po ba? We’re label mates and us boys are protective to someone they’re close to.Right?”

“Yes. Past reasons? What are those? And I thought, Miss Glaiza is a man hater, paano kayo naging close ni Dylan?”

“I’m sorry, I can’t tell the reason, and it’s out of the topic. Ilang buwanna po ang nakalipas simula nung pumasok ako sa kompanya nila. Yes, man hater pero hindi ba pwede magbago ang tao? Sa ilang months naming magkasama dahil label mates kami, posibleng magiging magaan loob ko sa kanila diba?”

“So, why is it you were together with Dylan?”

“After the fight scene, nabugbog si Dylan diba? Ede nagka-utangna loob ako sa kanya kaya ko siya tinulungan. The first aid kit was inside the hotel so of course, we would be there.”

“Thank you for answering us honestly Glaiza and Dylan. We also like to ask Arthur. You were with someone that night. She wasn’t recognized by anyone. Are you secretly dating someone?” Napatingin naman kami ni Dylan kay Arthur at ngumiti naman siya.

“Well, we all know that the guests of the party must be by pair right? They can bring anyone they want to. Since wala namangakong masyadong kaclosedoon, I decided to bring my childhood friend. It isn’t bad naman diba? Besides, sa three years ko nang nasa music industry, I didn’t get to talk with my only childhood friend. Bumawi nalang ako sakanya. You would do that in such situation too right?”

“Yes” Sabi ng lahat.

“Thank you all for your honest answers.”

Natapos na yung press conference at nakahinga na kami ng maluwag. Buti nga hindinaitanong yung nangyari dati eh.

Umuwina kami at nagpahinga. Day-off raw namin. It’s been a while since I went to school. Namiss ko na rin mga kaklase ko.

Nang makarating ako ng bahay, sabi ni mommy may bisita raw ako and wow ah! Manager Julie, Off Limits, Kat and ate Ria. Pero wala pa si Arthur at Dylan.Nakarating sila mga 30 minutes after me.

“I have good news for everyone.”

“Huh? Eh ano iyon?”

“A week from now, we’ll be starting producing Glaiza’s debut album and she’ll be debuting in 3 weeks. Should we call for an early celebration?”

Nagsigawan naman yung mga iyon. Papasok na ba talaga ako sa music industry? If this means defeating my father and that Ryan, I’ll do it and besides masaya na ako ngayon.

Nagcelebrate kami at grabe! Apatna oras sila dito sa bahay pero nagsialisan na sila kasi may mga gagawin pa sila.

“Congrats Glaiza!” Sabi ni Dylan. Napangiti naman ako and he left.

“So how’s the conference?” Tanong ni mommy

“Daddy Dylan!” Sigaw ni Gabrielle. “Ate! May I go with daddy muna?”

“Sure.” At umalis na sila.

“It was fine naman ma. Wag ka nang magalala.”

“Sigurado ka bang naging close lang kayo ni Dylan o may feelings na para sa isa’t isa?”

“Ma naman, syempre naging close lang po. Pero, he did told me he likes me.”

“I trust him Glaiza. Wag ka nang mag man hater diyan. Nagmumukhakang bitter. You should be better not bitter, you know. Open your heart once again and try. You would not know what will happen if you don’t try.”

“Yes ma.” I smiled weakly.
